Mouser's Tony Kanaan has Impressive Showing at Mid-Ohio
Mouser Electronics, Inc., regarded as a top design engineering resource and global distributor for semiconductors and electronic components, congratulates Tony Kanaan, driver of the No. 11 GEICO / MOUSER ELECTRONICS–KV Racing Technology Chevrolet/Firestone IndyCar, for his impressive effort at Honda Indy 200 in Lexington, Ohio.
Heavy rain showers that claimed the early morning proved no match for the 37-year-old Brazilian. Throughout Sunday's race, Kanaan stuck with the team's three-stop fuel strategy, allowing him to hold onto fourth place for much of the race. During his third and final stop on lap 58, Kanaan dropped to eighth place, but managed to pick up two more spots when other cars had to pit for fuel, ultimately finishing in sixth. Driving the #11 Mouser Electronics-sponsored IndyCar, Tony Kanaan has logged seven Top 6 finishes so far this season, including three Top 3 showings – a season-high 2nd place at Milwaukee and two outstanding 3rd place finishes at Iowa and the historic Indianapolis 500. Kanaan now holds onto seventh place in the championship race.

"With another top-six under his belt, we can't wait to see his performance at Sonoma," says Larry Johannes, Mouser Electronics' Vice President of Strategic Marketing. "It really is remarkable to see Tony's skills on display at the track. Even when problems persist, he is always looking ahead for his next move. We wish him nothing but speed and accuracy as he prepares for the races ahead."
"I am very happy with (the day's) result," states Tony Kanaan. "The car was very good in the race. We went with a three-stop strategy and despite no yellow flags, we made it work. It was a very physical race with no cautions. Now we have to build on this over the last few races."
