As an official partner of the KV Racing Technology #11 IZOD IndyCar Series team, Mouser Electronics launched its third IZOD IndyCar season with champion driver Tony Kanaan behind the wheel of the #11 IndyCar to capture fourth place in the season opener. Kanaan now stands in 7th place overall in point standings after placing 13th at the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama in Birmingham. The next race takes to the Streets of Long Beach on April 21.
"It’s turning out to be another dynamic season," said Kevin Hess, Mouser's Vice President of Technical Marketing. "In racing, the technology is advancing faster than ever before, which aligns with Mouser's commitment of being the distributor that leads in introducing the newest products and latest technologies."

Mouser is proud to partner with this year’s valued sponsors: TTI, Inc, Sager, Amphenol, Bivar, ebm-papst, Fluke, Hammond Manufacturing, Harwin, LEMO, Molex, Murata, NKK Switches, Ohmite, Phoenix Contact, and TE Connectivity.
Mouser first sponsored IndyCar in 2011 as an innovative way to communicate its performance-driven business model and promote the newest technologies and how they impact the high-tech world of IndyCar racing. Since every advanced, sophisticated component that goes into an IndyCar is all about precision and gaining a performance edge out on the track, IndyCar provides the perfect vehicle to build top-of-mind awareness for Mouser and its industry-leading manufacturers.
Last year, with the support of many of Mouser’s suppliers, the team experienced a great season, filled with excitement, anticipation and some intense racing. Kanaan, who drove the No. 11 Mouser Electronics/GEICO/KV Racing Technology Chevrolet/Firestone IndyCar, logged seven Top 6 finishes during the 2012 season, including three Top 3 showings – a season-high 2nd place at Milwaukee and two outstanding 3rd place finishes (at Iowa and the podium finish at the historic Indianapolis 500).
The 2013 IZOD IndyCar series will feature 19 races. The series travels to Mouser’s backyard on June 8 for the Firestone 500 at the Texas Motor Speedway. Kanaan finished 5th last year at the TMS behind the wheel of the #11 Mouser Electronics/GEICO KV Racing Chevrolet.
