Mouser Electronics, Inc., a top design engineering resource and global distributor for semiconductors and electronic components, today congratulates Tony Kanaan for a Top 10 Finish in Saturday’s Milwaukee IndyFest. Kanaan finished 10th in a field of 24 and earned 20 points. He now ranks sixth in the championship race with 215 points.
“We finished in the Top 10 so I will take those points,” Kanaan stated. “Now we move on to Iowa where hopefully we can have a better finish."
It was Kanaan’s 14th start at Milwaukee. He had consecutive wins there in 2006 and 2007. The 38-year-old Brazilian and 2013 Indy 500 Champion, has finished eight of the nine races contested this year earning four top-10 finishes including two podium performances and the victory at Indy. With a total of 19 races in the series, the IndyCar series travels next to the Iowa Corn Indy 500 on June 23 at the Iowa Speedway in Newton. Kanaan won this race in 2010 and finished 3rd last year.
He scored an outstanding third-place finish June 8 at the Firestone 550 Race at Texas Motor Speedway, this coming after his historic victory at the Indianapolis 500 race over Memorial Day weekend.
“Tony is having a great year and we’re only halfway through the racing season,” said Todd McAtee, Mouser Vice President of Business Development. “All of us here at Mouser, along with his fans, are following him closely with excitement going into the second half of the season.”

Hundreds lined Mouser Way in Mansfield to catch a glimpse of the Indy 500 champ who arrived on Mouser’s campus in grand style by helicopter. Led by a police escort and marching band, a car procession featuring a classic Cadillac convertible and Packard Roadster then drove Kanaan and his wife Lauren, along with Mouser President and CEO Glenn Smith and Mansfield Mayor David Cook through the cheering crowds to the stage in front of Mouser’s entrance for the public ceremony. Mayor Cook presented Kanaan with the key to the city and proclaimed June 6th as Tony Kanaan Day in Mansfield.
