Ericsson BMR456 & BMR457 Bus Converters

Ericsson BMR456 & BMR457 DC-DC Bus Converters are award-winning DC-DC Advanced Bus Converters. The power modules were awarded the 2012 Product of the Year by Electronic Products Magazine for their ability to control intermediate bus voltage to deliver high efficiency and significant energy savings. BMR456 and BMR457 series can reduce board power consumption by 3 to 10%, depending on the board applications. Both series feature Ericsson DC-DC Energy Optimizer firmware for power consumption reduction. The quarter-brick BMR456 output voltage can be adjusted within an operation range of 13.0V to 8.2V. The output voltage of the smaller eighth-brick BMR457 delivers 13.2V to 8.2V and can be adjusted down to 6.9V. Both products have the ability for the output voltage to be adjusted via PMBus commands or preset profiles, allowing the intermediate board bus voltage to be adjusted to a level that will guarantee the lowest possible power consumption.

Ericsson PKU 4000C Series DC/DC Converters

Ericsson Power Modules has added the PKU 4000C Series to their DC/DC Converter offering. The 100W sixteenth-brick DC/DC Converter was designed for mid-range IT and communications power applications. The new PKU 4000C Series from Ericsson features high efficiency of up to 92.7% and meets IEC/EN/UL 60950 safety standards.

Ericsson BMR463 Series POL Regulators

Ericsson's BMR463 Series Point-of-Load (POL) Regulator is part of the BMR463 product line that enables systems architects to monitor and control the energy that is delivered to strategic components such as processors, FPGAs, ASICs, and others, in the most economically advantageous way. This DC/DC power module from Ericsson is small in size, measuring just 8.2mm in height, and offers an input voltage range of 4.5-14V and up to 20A/66W output. Other key features of the BMR463 Series include 0.6V-3.3V output voltage range, typical high efficiency of 97.1% at 5Vin (3.3Vout half load), full regulation, input under voltage shutdown, over temperature protection, MTBF 20 Mh, configuration and monitoring via PMBus, and more.

Ericsson BMR454 Series Intermediate Bus Converters

Ericsson Power Modules' BMR454 Series comprises a fully regulated intermediate Bus Converter in an industry-standard five-pin Eighth-brick. The BMR454 Series DC/DC converter from Ericsson offers 36-75V input voltage range and output up to 40A/240W. Other features include optional digital PMBus interface; typical 95.5% high efficiency; +/- 2% output voltage tolerance band; 1500 Vdc input to output isolation; configurable soft start/stop, precision delay and ramp-up, and synchronization for power management applications; and much more.

Ericsson BMR453 Series DC/DC Converters-EXPANSION

Ericsson Power Modules has expanded its award-winning innovation, the BMR453 Series DC/DC Converter, to now include 3.3, 5, and 9 V versions in addition to the 12 V.

Ericsson Power Modules' multiple award winning Digital DC/DC Converter BMR453 is an industry-first converter that uses a digital control platform contained within the modules themselves to free up real estate to improve power density while offering unprecedented levels of control. With 96% efficiency, the Digital DC/DC Converter BMR453 offers up to 400W output power, or up to 33A with ±2% accuracy, which is 33% more power than the best module commercially available at that level of accuracy. An industry standard quarter-brick, the Ericsson Converter features 1.1 million hours MTBF, configurable soft start/stop, precision delay and ramp-up, voltage sequencing and margining, paralleling, and much more.

Ericsson DC/DC Open Frame Regulators: BMR 450, 451 Series EXPANSION

Ericsson has expanded their BMR Series to include SMT versions, in addition to the through hole versions, of the BMR450 and BMR451 DC/DC Open Frame Regulators. All models now feature both read and write functions - you can actively change Vout settings, change power levels, change switching frequency. etc.

The Ericsson BMR Series DC/DC Open Frame Regulators feature a small package with inputs of 4.5-14V, voltage/current/temperature monitoring, precision delay and ramp-up, non-linear transient response, and a wide output voltage adjust function. The BMR 450 regulator has an output at 20A/100W and efficiency typically at 96.8%. The BMR451 regulator has an output of 40A/132W and typical efficiency at 96.4%.

The Ericsson BMR Series DC/DC Open Frame Regulators feature a small package with through hole and surface mount versions, inputs of 4.5-14V, voltage/current/temperature monitoring, precision delay and ramp-up, non-linear transient response, and a wide output voltage adjust function. The BMR Series have both read and write functions and you can actively change Vout settings, change power levels, change switching frequency, etc. The BMR 450 regulator has an output at 20A/100W and efficiency typically at 96.8%. The BMR451 regulator has an output of 40A/132W and typical efficiency at 96.4%.

The Ericsson PKU5000E Series DC/DC Converters are an industry standard sixteenth-brick with a wide input range of 18 - 72 V, output up to 10 A/35 W, and high efficiencies. Protections for under/over voltage, short circuit, and over temperature are standard, as well as a remote control. The Ericsson PKU5000E DC/DC Converters series offer surface mount options and meet safety requirements according to IEC/EN/UL 60950.
