Emerson Connectivity Solutions, Johnson product line of SMA Self Fixture End Launch Connectors
overcome the problematic gaps and RF path discontinuities associated
with inconsistent soldering processes. Featuring a proprietary design,
SMA Self Fixture End Launch Connectors accurately align and hold the
center contact to the circuit board plane without the need for special
fixtures. Special connector legs tightly grip the center contact to the
circuit board plane through the complete soldering process and allow for
consistent soldering work on a variety of PCB thicknesses. These
connectors also eliminate poor connections that degrade signal quality.
SMA Self Fixture End Launch Connectors’ contacts and insulator material
form an optimized connection point. The contact maintains proper
impedance under aggressive torque and axial stresses, while the
insulator acts as a seal by compressing itself into the board edge
during soldering. This creates a barrier between the inner and outer
conductors and protects against solder bridging. The design allows the
connectors to offer optimal return loss values for frequencies between 0-26.5 GHz. SMA Self Fixture End Launch Connectors
are an ideal option for design engineers who want to reduce complexity
of circuit board systems and manufacturing costs by eliminating the need
for mounting screws, adapters, aftermarket tools, ad hoc devices.
Applications include automated test equipment, broadband MMIC power
amplifiers, cellular linear power amplifiers, DBS low-noise block down
convertors, Global Positioning Satellite Antennas, GPS, phased array
antennas, high speed routers and switches, microwave filters, mixers and
combiners, radar systems, remote sensing and metering, RFID (Radio
Frequency Identification) Tags, and wireless antennas.
Vitelec / Emerson Connectivity Solutions BNC Coaxial Connectors are available in both 50 and 75 ohm versions, and offer Bayonet Quick coupling. The designs operate up to a frequency of 4 GHz, offering an economical, light-weight solution best suited for cable termination for miniature to sub-miniature cable. BNC Coaxial Connectors are used in many applications, some of which are flexible networks, instrumentation, radio antennas, aviation electronics, medical equipment, LAN devices, and computer peripheral interconnections.
Trompeter / Emerson Connectivity Solutions Twinax/Triax Connectors are
manufactured to meet or exceed Mil-Specs governing twinax connectors,
specifically MIL-STD-1553B for airborne and ground checkout and
MIL-STD-1760 "External Stores." Twinax/Triax Connectors from Trompeter
are designed for military applications to protect data signals from
extraneous noise through non-signal carrying shielding. These
impedance-matched connectors improve the throughput and interference
rejection of digital data transmission systems.
The TRB/TRT Series is available as miniature 2,3,4-lug and
push-on Twinax/Triax Connectors. TRB Series Connectors are all metallic
parts with fully enclosed outer conductors and center contacts plated
with 50 micro inch gold.
The TRS/TTM Series is a subminiature concentric Twinax/Triax Connector
for high density and weight reduction applications. These connectors are
designed for blind mate rack and panel applications.
Johnson / Emerson Connectivity Solutions offers a wide range of 50Ω and 75Ω Fixed Length RF Cable Assemblies from 3" to 60" in series BNC, MCX, MMCX, N, SMA, SMB, and UMC. Johnson's Fixed Length RF Cable Assemblies are available in many cable, plug, and jack types (straight, right angle, bulkhead, mini), as well as hand formable types. Johnson's line of RF Coax Cable Assemblies can meet the most unique specifications.
