Mouser Electronics was originally founded by a physics instructor, Jerry Mouser, who needed components for a newly formed electronics program at his school. He could not find small quantities of the components he wanted to use in teaching his students, so he had to buy larger quantities and store them in his garage. As other educators heard he had components available, they would buy a few pieces from him...and in 1964, Mouser Electronics was born!
Over the past 40-plus years, Mouser has evolved into a one-stop shop for instructors by offering a wide variety of quality products, competitive pricing, and excellent customer service. Recognizing the importance and value of educational institutions, we have reorganized our Educational Sales Program with a dedicated team to better serve your needs. Are educational purchases tax exempt?
Yes, except in California.
Does Mouser accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept all major credit cards, procurement cards, and major bank debit cards. If you provide an e-mail address on your order, we will e-mail a printable copy of your invoice.
What types of shipping services does Mouser provide?
We ship via all courier methods, including Federal Express, UPS, DHL, and U.S. Post Office. Mouser also offers schools additional discounts on shipping charges. For example, orders over $100 can be upgraded to UPS 3-Day Air at Ground rates or orders over $200 can be upgraded to 2-Day Air at Ground rates.
