Catalyst Semiconductor’s Quad-Mode™ charge pumps feature 10% higher efficiency and up to 65% smaller package compared to three-mode charge pumps – and they don’t require an additional capacitor! The devices have a switching architecture that delivers high-efficiency levels normally associated with inductive-based LEDs, while eliminating high-profile inductors and unwanted EMI. Quad-Mode™ offers a 1.33x mode of operation that reduces the input switching currents at the battery so oversupply noise is minimized.
