Bourns SRN Semi-shielded Power Inductors
Bourns introduces three new models of SRN Semi-shielded Power Inductors designed using semi-magnetic shielding techonology. Bourns SRN Semi-shielded Power Inductors offer semi-shielded construction with a rated current from 2.35 A to 10 A. SRN3015 is miniature size with a height of 1.5 mm, and an inductance range of 1 to 100 μH. The rated current is up to 2.35 A. SRN6045 has a height of 4.5 mm, inductance range of 1 to 100 μH, and rated current up to 4.2 A. SRN8040 has a height of 4 mm, inductance range of 0.5 to 100 μH, and a rated current up to 10 A. Bourns SRN Semi-shielded Power Inductors
can be used for DC/DC converters, notebook computers, digital video,
cameras, HDDs, cell phones, televisions, and LCD displays. Bourns SRN Semi-shielded Power Inductors provide effective magnetic shielding while emitting lower radiation compared to non-shielded inductors. In addition, SRN Semi-shielded Power Inductors offer moderate cost savings to comparable-sized conventional ferrite shield inductors.
Bourns® 2031-xxT-SM Series 2-Pole Gas Discharge Tube
Bourns® 2031T-xxT-SM Series 2-Pole Gas Discharge Tubes are designed for use with Bourns TBU® High-Speed Protectors
to provide an ideal protection solution for industrial applications
including telecommunications, industrial electronics, and avionics.
These GDT devices provide coordinated overvoltage protection for TBU® High-Speed Protector models TBU-CA050-500-WH, TBU-CA065-100-WH, and TBU-CA085-200-WH.
Together, they provide extremely fast overcurrent protection and
overvoltage protection against electrical transients - in less than 1µs
at the rated current. The 2031T-xxT-SM Series 2-Pole Gas Discharge Tubes can transition into conduction at a voltage below its maximum impulse rating, protecting the TBU® device from overvoltage and shunting the surge energy to ground.
Bourns PWR263S-35 Series Power Resistors
Bourn's PWR263S-35 Series Power Resistors are surface mount resistors in a D²PAK package designed to withstand peak temperatures of 260ºC during solder reflow. The PWR263S-35 resistors from Bourns also feature low inductance, high power rating (up to 35W continuous), wide resistance range, and electrical isolation from the backplate. Applications that utilize PWR263S-35 resistors are power supplies, motor drives, test and measurement, and rectifiers.
Bourns® RS-485EVALBOARD1 and RS-485EVALBOARD2
The Bourns RS-485 Evaluation Boards aid in evaluating circuit protection on RS-485 Serial Device Ports
using TBU® High-Speed Protectors (HSPs), Gas Discharge Tubes (GDTs),
Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) diodes and Metal Oxide Varistors
(MOV) products. As part of the Bourns TBU® HSP device solution with a low capacitance GDT, the RS-485EVALBOARD1 and RS-485EVALBOARD2 enable design engineers to increase the surge and transient protection level on RS-485 ports and house the entire circuit protection solution in a reduced PCB area.
- RS-485EVALBOARD1 - Uses two Bourns® TBU® HSPs, two fast-acting GDTs, and two TVS diodes to meet the required industry standards on RS-485 port interfaces.
- RS-485EVALBOARD2 - Uses Bourns® TBU® HSPs, MOVs, and TVS diodes to meet the required industry standards on RS-485 port interfaces.
Bourns® TISP61089QB Overvoltage Protector Series
The Bourns® TISP61089QB is a quad forward-conducting buffered p-gate overvoltage protector. Bourns® designed the TISP61089QB device to protect two monolithic SLICs (Subscriber Line Interface Circuits) on the telephone line from overvoltages from lightning, a.c. power contact, and induction. Rated for ITU-T, YD/T-950 10/700, and Telcordia Intra-building impulses, this quad voltage-programmable protector features a wide -20 V to -155 V programming range, low 5 mA maximum gate triggering current, and high 150 mA minimum holding current. The Bourns® TISP61089QB Overvoltage Protector is ideally suited for SLIC card protection VoIP and FXS ports on EPON, GPON, or xDSL CPE equipment.
Bourns 2051 Series Gas Discharge Tube Surge Protector
Bourns developed the 2051 Series Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) Surge Protector as an extremely small and robust overvoltage protection solution for telecom and industrial communications applications. Bourns offers the 2051 Series Gas Discharge Tube Surge Protector as a micro surface mount, 2-electrode GDT device designed to meet board-level protection requirements. The UL Recognized and RoHS compliant 2051 Series provides performance stability over life, a high insulation resistance of 50/100 Vdc >1GΩ, and a capacitance of 1MHz< 1pF. With a compact size of 2.7 x 3.2 x 4.5mm, the Bourns 2051 Series Gas Discharge Tube Surge Protector is ideal for PCI cards, MDC modems, splitters, and CPE applications with demanding space restrictions. Additionally, the 2051 Series' low capacitance makes it ideally suited for high-speed/high bandwidth applications with a typical capacitance of 0.6pF.
Bourns® 2020 T Series 3-Pole Fast Gas Discharge Tubes
Bourns® 2020 T Series 3-Pole Fast Gas Discharge Tubes are designed for use with Bourns® TBU® High-Speed Protectors
to provide an ideal protection solution for a broad number of
industrial applications as well as telecom applications requiring
GR-1089 or ITU-T K.21 compliance. These GDT devices provide coordinated overvoltage protection for TBU® High-Speed Protector models TBU-CA050-500-WH, TBU-CA065-100-WH, and TBU-CA085-200-WH.
Together, they provide extremely fast overcurrent protection and
overvoltage protection against electrical transients - in less than one
microsecond at the rated current. The Bourns® 2020 T Series 3-Pole Fast Gas Discharge Tubes are
available with an optional fail-short mechanism for applications
requiring UL safety standard compliance and also available as RoHS
versions.
Bourns SRF Dual Winding Shielded Power Inductors
Bourns SRFxxxx Dual Winding Shielded Power Inductors are magnetically shielded, low radiation inductors with multiple applications: parallel, series, dual-inductor, and transformer. The RoHS compliant SRFxxx Series features an inductance range from 0.33 to 4000µH and a rated current from 6.19A to 17.9A. The Bourns SRFxxx Dual Winding Shielded Power Inductors are ideal for SEPIC topology and power supplies for communications, computers, LCDs, flat panels, backlights, camcorders, HDTVs, and car audio systems.
Bourns PEL12 12mm Encoders with Illuminated Shaft
Bourns ProAudio PEL12 12mm Encoders feature a shaft illuminated in red, green, blue, or orange. With a compact design and high reliability, the PEL12 Encoders offer a long 30,000 cycle minimum life cycle with high reliability. The Bourns ProAudio PEL12 12mm Encoders are available in vertical and horizontal mounting, flatted and knurled shaft styles, single-, dual-, and triple-LED designs, and with momentary switches.
Bourns LSP Series LED Shunt Protectors
Bourns LSP Series LED Shunt Protectors are electronic shunts that provide a current bypass when an LED element in an LED string fails open circuit. This ensures the remaining string of LEDs will continue to function. The Bourns LSP Series LED Shunt Protectors are ideal for applications in which high reliability of LED lighting must be maintained, such as LCD backlighting, transport lighting, avionics, as well as intrinsically safe and low maintenance lighting. The LSP Series is available in surface mount package DO-214AA (SMB) size format.
Bourns SRR Series Shielded Power Inductors
Bourns SRR Series Shielded Power Inductors are small SMD inductors for input/output of DC/DC converters and power supplies
for portable communications equipment, camcorders, LCD TVs, and car
radios. Bourns SRR Series Shielded Power Inductors feature inductances from 1.0µH to 2.5 µH, current ratings up to 11 amps, and are offered in both E6 and E12.
Bourns SDR1005, SDR1006 Series SMD Power Inductors
Bourns SDR1005, SDR1006 Series SMD Power Inductors are small power inductors for input/output of DC/DC converters and power supplies for portable communications equipment, camcorders, LCD TVs, and car radios.

Bourns Miniature 2-pole GDTs for TBUs
Bourns Miniature 2-pole Gas Discharge Tubes are fast acting, small GDTs designed to operate with TBU® (Transient Blocking Unit) devices. The GDTs provide coordinated protection for TBUs to provide extremely fast overcurrent and overvoltage protection against electrical transients. Bourns GDTs are a miniature 4.4mm x 5.0mm x 4.8mm diameter and offer stable breakdown throughout life. Bourns Miniature 2-pole Gas Discharge Tubes are available in 60V, 185V, and 360V options with maximum impulse sparkover of 500V, 650V, and 850V, respectively. Ideal for Telecommunications, industrial electronics, and avionics.
Bourns Gas Discharge Tube for RS-485 Ports
The Bourns Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) for RS-485 Ports is designed to meet industry standards on RS-485 port interfaces and to provide circuit protection in noisy and harsh electrical environments. For exposed lines that may see large and fast surges and where failure is not acceptable, a three-stage Bourns protection system is recommended. It consists of TVS Diodes (CDSOT23-SM712), TBU™ Devices (TBU-CA065-100-WH), and one or more GDTs. Each device contributes a unique protection function. Due to the layered protection scheme, the TVS array is fully protected by the TBU device and the TBU device is fully protected by the fast GDT. The limits of surge protection are then those of the GDT itself. The Bourns GDT for RS-485 Ports handles extremely high currents and coordinates with the TBU device to provide extremely fast voltage protection, as well as protection the TBU device from excessive voltage after it triggers.
Bourns MF-LSMF Series PTC Resettable Fuses
The Bourns MF-LSMF Series PTC Resettable Fuses offer high power
ratings to be compliant with AEC-Q200 Rev-C- Stress Test Qualification
for Passive Components in Automotive Applications. These low profile Bourns Fuses'
footprint are a standard 7555 mm (2920 MILS), are compatible with Pb
and Pb-free solder reflow profiles, are RoHS compliant and halogen free.
The MF-LSMF Series features surface mount packaging for automated assembly.
Bourns TBU-DT High Speed Protectors, Dual Unidirectional
The Bourns TBU-DT Series High Speed Protectors are very low capacitance, dual unidirectional high speed circuit protection devices. The DT Series
is designed to protect against short circuits, AC power cross,
induction, lightning surges, overcurrent, and overvoltage faults (up to
rated limits) and provides an effective barrier between sensitive electronics (such as Ethernet ports) and surge events. The Bourns TBU-DT Series of High Speed Protectors will trip in less than 1µs when the current reaches the maximum value in one direction only (see datasheet). After the surge, the protectors will reset when the voltage falls to the Vreset level. The TBU device will automatically reset on lines which have no DC bias or have DC bias below Vreset (such as unpowered signal lines). The Bourns TBU-DT Series is provided in a surface mount DFN package and meets RoHS and Pb-free solder reflow profiles.
