Bourns® PWR163 Power Resistor Series is a DPAK style surface mount power resistor that offers very low inductance, making it ideal for high frequency applications such as amplifiers for audio or wireless base stations. The PWR163 Series Power Resistors from Bourns are smaller than the D2PAK package and are electrically isolated from the backplate. These resistors also have a high power rating of 25W at 25ºC. PWR163 series resistors also have excellent pulse characteristics, which allows them to be used in current limiting or capacitor discharge circuits.

Bourns AMM20B Multiturn Magnetic Position Sensor is designed for
heavy-duty applications requiring long cycle life and high reliability.
Bourns AMM20B multiturn magnetic position sensor features 12-bit
resolution, factory programmable electrical angle of 3600 degrees, and a
rotational life of up to 50 million cycles. It is highly resistant to
vibration, shock, dust, and fluid ingress. The sensor includes a single
analog output, with the output increasing as the shaft is turned in a
clockwise direction. The AMM20B sensor offers a stainless steel slotted shaft, bushing mount, axial PC pin terminal, supply voltage of 5V, and a max supply current of 15mA.
Bourns FW Fusible Wirewound Power Resistors
Bourns FW Series Fusible Wirewound Power Resistors are designed to fuse under abnormal conditions such as sudden surges in voltage or circuit malfunctions. The Bourns FW series fusible wirewound power resistors will fuse upon application of 120 or 240 voltages. The axial leaded resistors feature 5% tolerance, 10 Ohm resistance, and 1, 2, 3, 5, or 7 Watt rating.

Bourns TISP4SxxxBJ Single Bidirectional Thyristor Surge Protectors are designed to limit overvoltages on telephone lines. The TISP4SxxxBJ series protector consists of a symmetrical voltage-triggered bidirectional thyristor in a space-saving surface mount SMB (DO-214AA) package. A single device provides 2-point protection against overvoltages caused by a.c. power system or lightning flash disturbances which are induced or conducted onto the telephone line. Typically, a single device is used to protect 2-wire telecommunication equipment (e.g., between the ring and tip wires for telephones and modems); however, combinations of devices can be used for multi-point protection (e.g. 3-point protection between ring, tip, and ground). These devices meet RoHS and Pb Free solder reflow profile requirements.

Bourns TCS™ High-Speed Protector Products
Bourns TCS™ High-Speed Protector Products offer superior
transient protection for very high data rate differential lines. TCS
High-Speed Protectors can be used with low capacitance Transient Voltage
Suppressor (TVS) devices to provide an extremely low let-through energy
barrier against excessive voltages that may damage high-speed, low
voltage driver and receiver components during surge events.
The Bourns TCS High-Speed Protector can block voltages up to 40 V.
This enables very low voltage electronics to be protected by a lower
capacitance, higher voltage TVS device, thus achieving very low
capacitive loading on high-speed signal lines. Bourns TCS DL Series
features dual,
well-matched, low resistance, bidirectional Transient Current
Suppressors (TCS). The series is designed to
protect Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) and VDSL applications against faults
caused by short circuits, induction, and lightning surges by limiting
the
maximum current to a safe level. Bourns TCS High-Speed Protector
Products are offered in a space-saving, surface mount DFN package that
meets industry-standard requirements including RoHS and Pb Free solder
reflow profiles.
Bourns MF-PSMF Series PTC Resettable Fuses
Bourns offers the MF-PSMF series as PTC resettable fuses in a compact
0805 package. The small size enables MF-PSMF PTC resettable fuses to
provide a very fast reaction time to short circuit and overcurrent
conditions. These fuses feature a very low impedance and can be driven
to high impedance by an overcurrent condition or an increase in ambient
temperature. Unlike standard single-blow fuses, the MF-PSMF fuses can be
reset by cycling the power on/off. Available in the MF-PSMF075X version
featuring a maximum operating voltage of 6 V, 0.09 ohm initial
resistance, 1.5A trip rating, 0.20 max. seconds to react, 0.35 ohm 1
hour (R1) post-trip resistance, and an Ihold rating of 0.75A.
Bourns SMLJ Series TVS Diodes
Bourns SMLJ Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diodes are
offered for surge and ESD protection applications in compact chip
package DO-214AB (SMC) size format to meet the increasing demand for
smaller electronic components. The SMJL TVS series provides a working
peak reverse voltage from 5V up to 170V and breakdown voltage up to
200V. Typical fast response time is less than 1.0 ns for unidirectional
devices and less than 5.0 ns for bidirectional devices from 0V to
minimum breakdown voltage. Designed with a flat configuration to
minimize roll away, Bourns® Chip Diodes are easy to handle with standard
pick-and-place equipment. Compliant with JEDEC standards, the SMLJ TVS
Diodes are well-suited for IEC 61000-4-2 ESD (Min. Level 4), IEC
61000-4-4 EFT, and IEC 61000-4-5 Surge applications.

Bourns CMF-SDP Series provides precision-tolerance overcurrent protection in Telecom applications. The design features two resistance-matched PTCs in a plastic housing. CMF-SDP Telecom CPTC Resettable Fuses operate safely under fault conditions, withstand lightning surge and AC power cross, offer resistance values from 5.6 ohms to 100 ohms, and assist in meeting Telcordia GR-1089 and ITU-TK.20/K.21/K.45 specifications. Bourns Model EMS22 Non-Contacting Magnetic Rotary Encoders
Bourns Model EMS22 are non-contacting rotary magnetic encoders with a Hall Effect application-specific standard product (ASSP) capable of producing four distinct output waveforms. These waveforms include 2-bit quadrature up to 256 Pulses per Revolution (PPR), Step/Direction up to 512 PPR, Pulse-Width Modulated (PWM) output with 1024 positions, and Absolute with 1024 positions. Model EMS22 is available in both a 3.3 and 5.0 Vdc supply voltage and is offered in two different versions. These encoders have the capability of rotating up to 10,000 RPM while maintaining code accuracy, making them suitable for MMI applications such as industrial automation. This performance is achieved by utilizing dual ball bearings in the construction of each device, resulting in extended rotational life up to 100,000,000 shaft revolutions. The EMS22 non-contacting encoders are ideal for use in harsh environments where extreme levels of temperature, moisture, and particles are present. Their outstanding performance is attributed to the non-contacting technology and superior performance of the austriamicrosystems® AS5040 Hall Effect ASSP. These encoders are sealed to IP 65 (ingression protection) with an optional upgrade to IP 67.
Bourns High Voltage 2-Electrode GDTs
Bourns High Voltage 2-Electrode GDTs include four new series of high voltage Gas Discharge Tubes (GDTs). These GDT series are designed for industrial applications requiring high DC breakdown voltages. The 2-electrode GDT devices are offered with DC breakdown voltages ranging from 800-6000V. They are offered in miniature surface mount, miniature axial, and standard axial leaded packages.

Bourn's 2030-XXT-SM Series 3-Pole Miniature Gas Discharge
Tube (GDT) is designed to provide superior protection against fast rising
voltage transients. With a very fast impulse limiting performance of 5
kV, 1.2 x 50 μs, the Bourns 2030-XXT-SM Series 3-Pole Miniature GDT is
ideally suited for use with the TBU® High-Speed Protectors (HSP).
Together, the 2030-XXT-SM Series 3-Pole GDT and TBU HSP offer extremely
fast overcurrent protection (OCP) and overvoltage protection (OVP)
against electrical transients. When exposed to a transient event, TBU
HSP transitions into a current-blocking condition in less than one
microsecond at the rated current. When needed, the 2030-XXT-SM Series
3-Pole GDT transitions into conduction at a voltage below its maximum
impulse rating, protecting the TBU HSP from overvoltage and shunting the
excess surge energy to ground. After the transient subsides,
2030-XXT-SM Series 3-Pole GDT and TBU HSP will reset to their normal
off-state modes of operation. Bourns 2030-XXT-SM Series Fast Acting 3-Pole Miniature Gas Discharge Tube
and TBU HSP offer exceptional voltage protection for a wide range of
industrial applications as well as telecom applications requiring
GR-1089 or ITU-T K.21 compliance.

Bourns PTVS High Current Power TVS Diodes are high current bidirectional TVS diodes designed for use in AC line protection and high power DC bus clamping applications. These devices offer bidirectional port protection from 58V to 470V, and RoHS and UL compliancy, while also meeting IEC 61000-4-5 8/20μs current surge requirements. The use of silicon technology in the Power TVS products generally offers lower clamping voltage under surge than competing MOV technology. Bourns High Current Power TVS Diodes are provided in through-hole packages and meet industry standard requirements such as RoHS and Pb Free solder reflow profiles.

Bourns CDSOD323-TxxC-DSL TVS Diodes are Transient Voltage Suppressor Diodes for surge and ESD protection, especially for Telecom xDSL applications, in an SOD323 package. The markets of portable communications and telecom equipment are challenging the semiconductor industry to develop increasingly smaller electronic components for high-speed communication rates. Bourns CDSOD323-TxxC-DSL TVS Diodes offer working peak voltages of 12V and 24V in a bidirectional configuration, with low leakage currents of 1nA and typical capacitance of 3pF. These diodes conform to JEDEC standards, are easy to handle on standard pick-and-place equipment, and their flat configuration minimizes roll away. They meet IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD) and IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT) standards and assists in meeting IEC 61000-4-5 (surge) requirements.

Bourns introduces the SRP4012 Series Power Inductors, which offer one of the two smallest footprints and features with the lowest profile component in the SRP High Current Power Inductor product family. Bourns SRP4012 Series Power Inductors offer a 4.7 x 4 mm footprint in a 1.2 mm height with an inductance range of 0.22 - 1.5 μH, a heat rating current up to 9 A, and a saturation current up to 10 A. The flat wire and magnetic alloy compound molded construction offers a compact size, low DC resistance, high current carrying capability and magnetically shielded inductor. Bourns SRP4012 Series Power Inductors are ideal for use in DC/DC converters for mobile electronic devices, computers, data storage and voltage regulator modules. The low profile feature makes them especially attractive for application in ultrathin electric devices.
Bourns LSPxAJR Series LED Shunt Protectors
Bourns LSPxAJR Series LED Shunt Protectors are electronic shunts that provide a current bypass when an LED element in an LED string fails open circuit. This ensures the remaining string of LEDs will continue to function. Adding Bourns LSP Series shunt protectors to an LED design allows the healthy LEDs in the string to remain illuminated by shunting current around the inoperable open circuit LED. Bourns LSPxAJR Series LED Shunt Protectors employ proven thyristor technology similar to Bourns TISP® devices. During normal operation of the circuit, there is no current flowing through the device. Only in the event of an open circuit does the Bourns LSP device become active. These shunts are ideal for applications in which high reliability of the LED lighting must be maintained, such as LCD backlighting, transport lighting, avionics, intrinsically safe, and low maintenance lighting. The LSP Series is available in a surface mount package DO-214AC (SMA) size format.

Bourns PM Series High Current SMD Power Inductors feature a current rating up to 22.7 A, a toroidal core, and are RoHS compliant.
