Arduino AVR Mini, Mini Lite, & Nano Microcontroller Boards

Arduino AVR Mini, Mini Lite, & Nano Microcontroller Boards

Arduino AVR Mini, Mini Lite, & Nano Microcontroller Boards are small boards based on the ATmega328 microcontroller, which are designed for use on breadboards. The Arduino AVR Mini, Mini Lite, & Nano Microcontroller Boards can work with Mini-B USB or Mini USB adapters.

AVR Mini and Mini Lite Microcontroller Boards

Arduino AVR Mini and Mini Lite Microcontroller Boards are small boards based on the ATmega328 microcontroller and are intended for use on breadboards and where space is at a premium. Arduino AVR Mini and Mini Lite Microcontroller Boards each have 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 8 analog inputs, and a 16 MHz crystal oscillator. They can be programmed with the USB, the mini USB adapter, or RS232-to-TTL serial adapters.

Please note that the newest versions of the Mini and Mini Lite are shipping with the Atmel ATmega328 rather than the ATmega168 as shown in the datasheet. Both microcontrollers are the same except for double the memory size on the ATmega328.

Features

  • ATmega328 Microcontroller
  • 14 Digital I/O Pins (of which 6 provide PWM output)
  • 8 accessible Analog Inputs (of which 4 are broken out onto pins)
  • AVR Mini includes a header; AVR Mini Lite does not

Specifications

  • Operating Voltage: 5V Input Voltage 7-9V
  • DC Current per I/O Pin: 40mA
  • Flash Memory: 16KB (of which 2KB is used by the bootloader)
  • SRAM: 1 KB
  • EEPROM: 512 bytes
  • Clock Speed: 16 MHz

AVR Nano Microcontroller Board

Arduino AVR Nano Microcontroller Board is small, complete, and breadboard-friendly, and is based on the ATmega328 (Arduino Nano 3.0). The Arduino AVR Nano Microcontroller Board works with a Mini-B USB cable, and can be powered via the Mini-B USB connection, a 6-20V unregulated external power supply (pin 30), or a 5V regulated external power supply (pin 27). The power source is automatically selected to the highest voltage source.

Features

  • Atmel ATmega328 Microcontroller
  • 14 Digital I/O Pins (of which 6 can provide PWM output)
  • 8 Analog Input Pins

Specifications

  • Operating Voltage (logic level): 5V
  • Input Voltage (recommended): 7-12V
  • Input Voltage (limits): 6-20V
  • DC current per I/O Pin: 40mA
  • Flash Memory: 32KB, with 2KB used by the bootloader
  • SRAM: 2KB
  • EEPROM: 1KB
  • Clock Speed: 16MHz
  • Dimensions: 0.73" x 1.70"

Mini USB Adapters

Arduino Mini USB Adapters convert USB connections into 5V TX and RX that can be connected straight to the Arduino Mini or other microcontrollers, allowing them to talk to the computer. Arduino Mini USB Adapters are based on the FT232RL chip from FTDI (drivers are included with the Arduino software).
