Amphenol Pcd offers USB and Ethernet connection systems, pluggable blocks and headers, and hybrid terminal blocks.
Amphenol PCD MicroCom 10Gb+ (μCom-10Gb+) Ethernet Micro Connectors are designed to meet the need for miniaturized connectors with rapid transmission speeds and high resistance to environmental extremes. Environmentally tested to MIL-DTL-38999 Series III military specifications, these miniature connectors with a 15 mm (.59˝) max. external diameter can exceed 10Gb/s per IEEE 802.3an-2006 even in the harshest environments. The rugged IP68 design features four completely insulated twisted wire pairs throughout the connector to minimize cross-talk and special patent-pending interfacial shapes to minimize perturbation. A threaded coupling mechanism provides high vibration resistance. The design provides IP68 sealing for mated and unmated receptacles with
500 hours of salt spray resistance, 24 AWG (max.) per
solder contact and 24 AWG to 26 AWG per crimp contact, and a 1500 Vrms
dielectric withstanding voltage in a temperature range of -55°C to
+125°C. Amphenol PCD's MicroCom 10Gb+ Ethernet Micro Connectors
are ideally suited for defense, aeronautical, and rail/mass transit
Amphenol PCD Terrapin Miniature Circular Push-Pull Connectors are
designed for communications in harsh environments. Featuring a rugged
shell design, Terrapin Miniature Push-Pull Circular Connectors deliver
superior EMC performance and high environmental sealing to IP68
in both mated and unmated conditions. Resilient even in severe
conditions, the RoHS compliant black-silver plating is both low-luster
and corrosion resistant. Amphenol PCD Terrapin Miniature Push-Pull
Circular Connectors are Gigabit ethernet and USB 2.0
compatible, making these connectors well-suited for ruggedized routers,
military LAN switches, harsh environment data collection, robotics,
battlefield communications, and mass transit communications.
Amphenol PCD offers the miniature Terrapin connectors
with design options such as an optional locking mechanism, multiple
shell sizes with up to 37 contacts, and standard or tailored overmould
Amphenol PCD introduces Luminus, a line of compact, configurable lighting connectors with an easy, secure coupling mechanism and tough polyamide housing. Based on Amphenol PCD's exceptional military-grade connectors, Luminus lighting connectors combine industry-leading reliability, ease-of-use, light weight and environmental standards into a package that meets today's most demanding lighting requirements. These connectors offer a small footprint and aircraft-grade cable-mount accessories that allow for fast, efficient assembly, while standard AS39029, formerly MIL-C-39029, contacts ensure reliable performance. Designed to withstand high vibration and harsh environments, these lighting connectors are ideally suited for interior and exterior lighting in commercial aircraft, railway, and military applications.
Amphenol PCD USB-A Field Plastic & Neoprene Connectors consist of rugged USB interconnect devices for demanding industrial environments. The self-closing cap protects the USB-A Field receptacle from dust and fluids when the plug or USB memory key are unmated. Mated connectors with the plug or USB memory key have an IP67 sealing level. Designed to provide reliable performance in any harsh industrial environment, the Amphenol PCD USB-A Field Plastic & Neoprene Connectors feature neoprene shells for plug and USB keys, push / pull mating, up to 500 mating cycles, and data transmission rate up to 480 Mb/s for high-speed USB under USB Specification 2.0. The RoHS compliant USB-A Field Plastic & Neoprene Connectors
are well-suited for applications such as telecom equipment, video
control, robotics, industrial process control, CNC machines, and special
Amphenol PCD Backshell Clamps not only tidy-up the cable after
termination, but provide good strain relief at the termination area. It
is a cost-effective cable holding option when environmental protection
is not a concern and weight savings is a major consideration. Amphenol
PCD Backshell Clamps are available in olive drab gray cadmium, tin, or
nickel with a variety of shell sizes 11 through 48. Available in
environmental and non-environmental options, as well as EMI / RFI.
Backshell Clamps meet MIL-DTL-38999, MIL-DTL-26482 Series II,
MIL-DTL-83723 Series I and II.
Amphenol PCD ATEX Rugged Ethernet Connection System is the first
Ethernet connectors for applications in zone 2 and Class I Division 2
explosive environments. These rugged connectors were developed in
response to the current trend in the ATEX market toward limiting the
expensive equipment in zone 1 and installing it in zone 2, where
constraints are much less demanding. The Amphenol PCD ATEX Rugged
Ethernet Connection System is an extension of the RJ FIELD and USB FIELD
ranges, incorporating their patented and recognized RJStop® connection
system. The RJStop provides a rapid conversion of any standard Ethernet
cable into a connection with IP68 ingress protection against shocks,
dust, and fluids. The metal cases meet the mechanical resistance
criteria of EN 60079-15.
