Amphenol Corporation has completed the acquisition of the Advanced Sensors business from GE.
Amphenol Advanced Sensors Turbidity Sensors measure the amount of
suspended particles, or turbidity, in the wash water of washing machines
and dishwashers. By detecting the amount of soil in the water, appliances can
conserve energy by only washing as long as necessary. TST/TSD are additions to Amphenol's offering of turbidity sensors. TST-10 offers a higher voltage rating of 2.7V than GE's similar product the
TSW-10 (1.3V) and is physically different to match the specific drain assemblies
on white goods. TST-10 and TSD-10 offer a wider NTU range (Nephelometric Turbidity Unit) to
meet white goods manufacturers accuracy requirements. This allows these sensors
to be used in a broader range of applications.

Thermopile IR Sensors respond to a broad infrared spectrum,
offer an inherently stable response to DC radiation, and do not require
source of bias voltage or current. Consisting of thermo-elements, flat IR filter, and a thermistor for temperature compensation in a hermetically-sealed TO package, the series has a variety of filters available to maximize performance in specific applications. The ZTP Thermopile IR Sensors are used to provide
non-contact surface temperature measurement in thermometry, microwave ovens, induction
heater cookers, air conditioners, occupancy detection, lighting,
underfloor heating control, and HVAC / automotive applications.
Amphenol Advanced Sensors ChipCap2 Humidity and Temperature Sensor consists of a capacitive polymer sensor chip and a CMOS integrated circuit with EEPROM. The embedded systems are housed in reflow solderable SMD and SIP packages. Each unit is individually calibrated and tested, with performance from 20% to 80% RH at ±2% (±3% over the entire humidity range). ChipCap2 requires no further calibration or temperature compensation. Linear output signals are provided in various interfaces based on customer requirements. Suitable applications include energy saving HVAC control, process control and instrumentation, automobile and transportation, and medical.
Amphenol Advanced Sensors Clip-On Pipe Temperature Sensor is a non-intrusive solution for measuring surface temperature in boiler control and water heater applications. The device features fast time response (<=1s), low temperature gradient (<1ºC at 60ºC), and includes a range of clip sizes to fit pipe diameters 0.51 to 1.18 in (13 to 30mm).

Amphenol Advanced Sensors NTC Inrush Current Limiter Thermistor is an NTC disc thermistor with uninsulated lead-wires for inrush current limiting. This thermistor limits surge current by functioning as a power resistor which drops from a high cold resistance to a low hot resistance when heated by the current flowing through it. Amphenol Advanced Sensors NTC Inrush Current Limiter Thermistor features small size, excellent mechanical strength, and a low steady resistance and accompanying power loss. This low cost, solid state device for inrush current suppression has a wide operating temperature range of -50ºC to 175ºC and is suitable for PCB mounting. It is ideal for the control of inrush current in applications such as switching power supplies, flourescent lamps, inverters, and motors.
