Alpha Wire EcoCable® is a new innovative control cable that offers better performance and minimum environmental impact. Modified polyphenylene ether (mPPE) jacketing and insulation provides the advantages of a smaller, lighter control cable that can handle extreme temperatures of -50ºC to 105ºC. EcoCable is up to 47% smaller and up to 65% lighter than PVC cable and is 100% recyclable. Weight savings of up to 65% are possible due to a low specific gravity of 1.03 which is 25% to 40% lower than other insulation materials such as PVC, polyethylene, and cross-linked polyethylene. Three shielding options are available: unshielded, foil shielded, and SupraShield® foil plus braid shield.
Alpha Wire EcoFlex™ Cable is an innovative new flexible control cable that has a minimum environmental impact. The cable contains no halogens, phthalates, or heavy metals and is 100% recyclable. The jacketing and insulation is constructed with polyphenylene ether (mPPE) which gives the cables better performance benefits. Compared to standard PVC, EcoFlex cables with mPPE are up to 32% smaller, up to 55% lighter, and have up to 91% lower outgassing. In addition, the series is rated for over 1 million flex cycles and is capable of operating in extreme temperatures of -40ºC to 105ºC. EcoFlex Cable is available as unshielded, braid shielded, or with Suprashield® foil + braid shield.
Alpha Wire FIT® Sleeving for Rugged Applications provides heavy-duty protection in a variety of materials and weaves. This sleeving is suitable for applications requiring superior abrasion resistance, high temperatures, or resistance to oils, solvents, and chemicals. Wrappable, expandable, and non-expandable configurations are available. FIT Sleeving for Rugged Applications saves time and space and provides added flexibility and light weight protection.

Alpha Wire introduces EcoWire™ Hook-Up Wire that utilizes flexible mPPE Noryl insulation to provide an environmentally friendly alternative to PVC as it contains no halogens, phthalates, or heavy metals and is much more easily recyclable. As a bonus to the safety features, the EcoWire Noryl insulation is inherently lighter, smaller, tougher, and more durable than PVC. Alpha Wire EcoWire Hook-Up Wire is available in many colors and in sizes ranging from 28 to 10 AWG. Although a new product, the Noryl compound is widely accepted in a variety of industries and seven of the top ten global PC manufacturers have set goals to replace PVC with Noryl. Underwriters Laboratories has approved mPPE (Noryl) as a suitable insulation for over fifty AWM cable styles.

Alpha Wire designed the Photovoltaic Wire and Solar Power Cables to withstand the harsh conditions of solar energy applications including hot and cold climate extremes, ozone and UV radiation, moisture, oil, and direct burial. Offered in a range of gauges and conductor counts, the Photovoltaic Wire and Solar Power Cables meet the high reliability and performance requirements of harsh environment solar power applications. Operating in a temperature range of -40⁰C to +90⁰C, the Photovoltaic Wires are double insulated for maximum durability, meet UL 4703 PV wire and UL 4703 PV wire/TÜV 2 PFG 1169 wire requirements, and are available in 2 to 14 AWG wire gauges. The Solar Power Cables operate in a temperature range of -25⁰C to +90⁰C and are available in 18 - 8 AWG wire gauges with 3 to 65 conductors. Features include tough abrasion-resistant and sunlight-resistant jackets, high resistance to oil and chemicals, and thermoplastic elastomer jackets that provide enhanced resistance and increased flexibility for easier routing. RoHS and REACH compliant, the Alpha Wire Photovoltaic Wire and Solar Power Cables are well-suited for panel monitoring and control, panel to junction box, panel to collector, collector to inverter, grounding, and motor supply applications.
Alpha Wire's GRP-130 and GRP-130NF (non-fraying) Series flexible, semi-rigid Wrappable Sleeving is ideal for a wide variety of bundling applications without the need for additional fasteners. Alpha Wire's GRP-130 and GRP-130NF Series offer many features, such as 10-mil PET braid, flame resistance (GRP-130), flame retardant (GRP-130NF), 25% edge overlap to accommodate connectors and splices, fast and easy wrap-around installation using the GRP-130T tool, and more flexibility than spiral wrap or split convoluted tubing. GRP-130 and GRP-130NF sleeves work within a -70ºC to +125ºC temperature range and bend tightly without distorting or opening.
Alpha Wire offers Hook-Up Wire in a variety of insulations to meet exacting demands. Hook-Up Wire with high-voltage Silicone insulation offers excellent flexibility, excellent dielectric strength, and resistance to radiation, corona, and ozone. The Alpha Wire Silicone Hook-Up Wire has a temperature range of -40ºC to 150ºC. Alpha Wire's Mica Glass (MG) Hook-Up Wire is for high-temperature applications (+450ºC), such as heat-treating furnaces, kilns, and food service equipment. It offers excellent thermal stability.
Alpha Wire's Low-smoke Zero-halogen (LSZH) communication and control cable combines LSZH-rated insulation and jackets with rugged performance. Low smoke means easier visibility for evacuation and reduced respiratory damage due to smoke, while the zero-halogen material reduces toxicity from halogenated gases. The Alpha Wire Low-smoke Zero-halogen cables feature tinned copper conductors that resist corrosion and stranded conductors for installation flexibilty. The LSZH cable is available in multiconductor/multipair configurations, shielded or unshielded, foil shielded for EMI protection and improved signal integrity, as well as color-coding. The LSZH cables are suited to confined-space applications to reduce harm, save lives, and reduce damage to electronic components.
