Taiyo Yuden Cylindrical Lithium Ion Capacitor (LIC) uses the combined strength of lithium-ion secondary batteries and conventional electric dual layer capacitors (EDLCs), resulting in an energy device that offers extremely large energy capacitance and high reliability. The hybrid Lithium Ion Capacitors (LICs) from Taiyo Yuden are driven by “Lithium Pre-Dope” technology that involves the storing of lithium ions at the anode in advance, enabling energy to be used more efficiently and cycle life to be increased. These LICs offer energy density 4 to 10 times greater than EDLCs and can be used as a stand-alone power source or as a load charge leveling device to increase the life of the main power source such as a dry battery or lithium primary battery. Specifications of the Taiyo Yuden's LICs include 40F, 100F, and 200F capacitances, operating temperature range from -25°C to +60°C, and increased maximum voltage of 3.8V, about 1.5 times higher than the 2.3 to 2.7V of conventional capacitors.
Taiyo Yuden High Frequency products include chip antennas that are compact and low-profile, offer wide bandwidth and high gain, and have stable temperature characteristics, as well as multilayer ceramic devices (filters, diplexers, baluns) that are compact and low-profile, offer low loss and high attenuation, and stable temperature characteristics. Taiyo Yuden applies the material technology, multilayer technology, and fine processing technology to provide multilayer filters, multilayer antennas, and SAW/FBAR devices that comply with small size, thin type, high performance, and low interference. These components are utilized in Bluetooth™, Wireless LAN, Digital TV, and GPS applications.
Taiyo Yuden Noise Suppression Components include Chip Bead Inductors that comply with large current values and high frequencies in spite of small size and can be selected from a wide range of frequency characteristics and impedance values. In addition, Taiyo Yuden also offers Common Mode Choke Filters that can suppress noise without affecting the signal waveform in high-speed differential signals.
Taiyo Yuden has developed several types of Inductor products to meet the high demand for small size, thin type, and high performance components for continuously evolving digital products such as personal computers, mobile phones, and smart appliances. Among Taiyo Yuden's Inductor product offerings are leaded inductors, power inductors, and inductors for high frequency applications through precisely and strictly managed production processes, such as the wire-wound inductors that can support a wide range of circuit designs. Taiyo's multilayer inductors utilize high multilayer technology and elemental technology.
Taiyo Yuden's FBM Series Ferrite Bead is an EMC-suppression component designed for use in circuits where high impedance and large currents are needed to combat radiated noise on power lines. The surface-mount, high-current FBM Series Ferrite Beads from Taiyo Yuden offer excellent high impedance capability, even at high GHz band frequency. This series is ideal for high-frequency EMI with large current. Features of FBM Series Ferrite Beads include large DC current rating up to 6A, resistance to high energy, high reliability, and wide impedance range from 8 to 2000 ohms at 100MHz.
NEW! Taiyo Yuden has expanded the PAS polyacene supercapacitor product line to include the ceramic, chip-type PAS polyacene supercapacitor series, in addition to the radial, thin film, and coin type PAS series. Like other polyacene capacitors, the ceramic PAS polyacene supercapacitor from Taiyo Yuden can store a large number of ions into its amorphous structure (doping), and therefore, these capacitors have much larger capacitance than conventional electric double layer capacitors. Features of the highly reliable, high capacity PAS chip-type supercapacitor series include 2.6V and 3.3V maximum usable voltage, 0.014F and 0.011F capacitance, operating temperature range up to 70ºC, and RoHS/WEEE compliance.
