Taiyo Yuden has expanded the PAS polyacene supercapacitor product line to include the ceramic, chip-type PAS polyacene supercapacitor series, in addition to the radial, thin film, and coin type PAS series. Like other polyacene capacitors, the ceramic PAS polyacene supercapacitor from Taiyo Yuden can store a large number of ions into its amorphous structure (doping), and therefore, these capacitors have much larger capacitance than conventional electric double layer capacitors.
