Micrel MIC61150 LDO Voltage Regulators

Micrel's MIC61150 LDO Voltage Regulators are a 1.5A output, low input voltage, single-supply regulatosr. These regulators operate over a single input voltage range of 1.1V to 3.6V and offers an ultra-low dropout (less than 200mV over the entire operating temperature range). The MIC61150 is designed to drive digital circuits requiring low voltages at high currents such as DSPs, FPGAs, microcontrollers, etc. The regulator is available as a 1.0V fixed-output voltage option or as an adjustable-output voltage option. The MIC61150 is stable with a 22µF, low-ESR ceramic capacitor, and includes protection features such as thermal shut-down, current limiting and logic enable.

Micrel MIC26903 Synchronous DC/DC Buck Regulator

Micrel MIC26903 synchronous DC/DC buck regulator features adaptive on-time control architecture. MIC26903 operates over a supply range of 4.5V to 28V. It has an internal linear regulator which provides a regulated 5V to power the internal control circuitry. MIC26903 operates at a constant 600kHz switching frequency in continuous conduction mode and can be used to provide up to 9A of output current. The output voltage is adjustable down to 0.8V. Micrel’s HyperLight Load® architecture provides the same high-efficiency and ultra-fast transient response as the Hyper Speed Control™ architecture under medium to heavy loads, but also maintains high efficiency under light load conditions by transitioning to variable frequency, discontinuous mode operation. MIC26903 offers a full suite of protection features to ensure protection of the IC during fault conditions. These include undervoltage lockout to ensure proper operation under power-sag conditions, thermal shutdown, internal soft-start to reduce the inrush current, foldback current limit and “hiccup" mode short-circuit protection. MIC26903 includes a Power Good (PG) output to allow simple sequencing.

Micrel MIC5317 LDOs

Micrel MIC5317 LDOs are high performance 150mA low dropout regulators offering high power supply rejection (PSRR) in an ultra-small 1mm × 1mm package for stringent space requirements and demanding performance. The MIC5317 operates from an input voltage from 2.5V to 6.0V and is capable of providing the output voltages of 1.0V to 3.6V making it ideal for USB port or 6V AC adaptor applications. The MIC5317 offers 2% initial accuracy, low dropout voltage (155mV @ 150mA), and low ground current (typically 29µA). The MIC5317 can also be put into a zero-off-mode current state, drawing virtually no current when disabled. The MIC5317 is available in several advanced packages including a lead-free (RoHS-compliant) 1mm × 1mm Thin DFN occupying only 1mm2 of PCB area, a 75% reduction in board area compared to SC-70 and 2mm × 2mm DFN packages. It is also available in a SOT23-5 and TSOT23-5 package. The MIC5317 has an operating junction temperature range of –40°C to 125°C.

Micrel MIC84x Comparators

Micrel MIC84x Comparators are micropower, precision voltage comparators with an on-chip voltage reference. Both the MIC841 and MIC842 devices are intended for voltage monitoring applications. External resistors are used to set the voltage monitor threshold. When the threshold is crossed, the outputs switch polarity. The MIC842 incorporates a voltage reference and comparator with fixed internal hysteresis; two external resistors are used to set the switching threshold voltage. The MIC841 provides a similar function with user adjustable hysteresis; this part requires three external resistors to set the upper and lower thresholds (the difference between the threshold voltages being the hysteresis voltage). Both the MIC841 and MIC842 are available with push-pull or open-drain output stage. The push-pull output stage is configured either active high or active low; the open-drain output stage is only configured active high. Supply current is extremely low (1.5µA, typical), making it ideal for portable applications.

Micrel MIC4605 85V Half-Bridge MOSFET Drivers

Micrel MIC4605 85V Half-Bridge MOSFET Drivers with Adaptive Dead Time and Shoot-Through Protection actively monitors the half-bridge outputs to minimize the time between high-side and low-side MOSFET transitions and maximize power efficiency. Adaptive dead time circuitry automatically adjusts the dead time between high- and low-side MOSFETs and provides a dead-time rating under 20ns. MIC4605's anti-shoot-through circuitry prevents erroneous inputs and noise from turning both MOSFETS on at the same time. With a wide 5.5V to 16V operating supply range, MIC4605 maximizes system efficiency and enables longer run times in battery-powered applications. In addition, the MIC4605’s adjustable gate drive sets the gate drive voltage to VDD for optimal MOSFET RDS(ON), which minimizes power loss due to the MOSFET’s RDS(ON). Micrel's  MIC4605 85V Half-Bridge MOSFET Drivers are available in an 8-pin SOIC package and a tiny 10-pin 2.5mm × 2.5mm TDFN package. Micrel MIC2782 Dual-Input Push Button Reset ICs

Micrel MIC2782 Dual-Input Push Button Reset ICs with immediate and delayed outputs generate a reset pulse for a factory programmed reset timeout period after both manual reset inputs have been held to a logic-low for the factory programmed setup period. The ANDOUT logic output of these two input, two output push button reset ICs will activate if both inputs are held low for longer than a debounce time (1.5ms), and deactivate if one or both inputs are released for longer than a debounce time (1.5ms). The RESET and ANDOUT outputs are active-low, open-drain NMOS outputs. MIC2782 operates in the 1.5V to 5.5V supply voltage range, consuming 2.2µA of supply current at 3.3V. These devices feature 65kΩ internal pull-up resistors on both of the inputs (/MR1 and /MR2). Offering factory programmed setup periods of 6s, 8s, 10s, or 12s and reset timeout periods of 0.5s, 1s or 2s, MIC2782 is available in a space saving, 6-bump, 0.4mm pitch, 0.8mm x 1.2mm Wafer Level Chip Scale Package.

Micrel MIC23156 Voltage Regulators

Micrel MIC23156 voltage regulators are high-efficiency 1.5A synchronous buck regulators with HyperLight Load mode and dynamic voltage scaling control through I2C. HyperLight Load provides very high efficiency at light loads and ultra-fast transient response. The ability to dynamically change the output voltage and maintain high output voltage accuracy make the MIC23156 perfectly suited for supplying processor core voltages. An additional benefit of this proprietary architecture is very low output ripple voltage throughout the entire load range with the use of small output capacitors. Fast mode plus I2C provides output voltage and chip enable/disable control from standard I2C bus with I2C clock rates of 100kHz, 400kHz, and 1MHz. The MIC23156 is designed for use with 1µH, and an output capacitor as small as 2.2µF that enables a total solution size, less than 1mm in height. The MIC23156 is available in both 16-ball, 0.4mm Pitch, 1.81mm x 1.71mm wafer level chip scale (WLCSP), and 17-pin 2.8mm x 2.5mm MLF packages with an operating junction temperature range of –40°C to +125°C.

Micrel MIC24085 Voltage Regulators

Micrel MIC24085 voltage regulators are constant-frequency, current-mode PWM buck regulators with integrated switchers. The MIC24085 series is targeted for cost-sensitive and high-performance applications. This series operates over a supply range of 4.5V to 18V at a fixed 1MHz switching frequency and can be used to provide up to 3A of output current. The output voltage is adjustable down to 0.9V. The MIC24085 provides low standby current at 10µA, device enable, input undervoltage lockout, and output voltage monitoring. The Micrel MIC24085 also provides fault protections of overcurrent and overtemperature, and is available in a 16-pin 3mm × 3mm QFN package with a junction operating range from –40°C to +125°C.

Micrel MIC9416x High-Side Load Switches

Micrel MIC9416x high-side load switches are designed to operate from 1.7V to 5.5V input voltage. The load switch pass element is an internal 14.5mO RDSON N-Channel MOSFET which enables the device to support up to 3A of continuous current. Additionally, the load switch supports 1.5V logic level control and shutdown features in a tiny 1.5mm × 1mm 6-ball WLCSP package. The MIC9416x provides reverse current protection when the device is disabled. The device will not allow the flow of current from the output to the input when it is turned off and provides low quiescent current and low shutdown current to maximize battery life. The Micrel MIC9416x features over voltage protection to protect the load when the input voltage is above 4.55V as well as a precise enable threshold which keeps it in the default off state until the EN pin rises above 1.15V. The MIC9416x operating voltage range makes them ideal for Lithium-ion and NiMH/NiCad/Alkaline battery-powered systems, as well as non-battery-powered applications.

MIC5512/14/24 LDO Voltage Regulators

Micrel MIC5512/14/24 low-dropout (LDO) regulator features a low minimum operating voltage and low heat dissipation making it ideal for battery-operated applications including DSCs, GPS, PMPs, and PDAs. MIC5512/14 is an advanced general-purpose LDO ideal for powering portable devices. MIC5512/14 includes an auto-discharge feature on the output that is activated when the enable pin is low. MIC5514 features an internal pull down resistor on the enable pin that will disable the output when the enable pin is left floating. MIC5512/14 can also be put into a zero-off-mode current state, drawing virtually no current when disabled. The Micrel MIC5524 LOD regulator is designed to optimize performance in a small package. It is capable of sourcing 500mA of output current while only drawing 38µA of operating current. The MIC5524 includes an auto-discharge feature on the output that is activated when the enable pin is low and it has an internal pull down resistor on the enable pin that will disable the output when the enable pin is left floating, making it ideal for applications where the control signal is floating during processor boot up. The MIC5524 offers 2% accuracy, extremely low dropout voltage (260mV @ 500mA), and can regulate output voltages down to 1.0V. Equipped with a TTL logic compatible enable pin, the MIC5524 can be put into a zero-off-mode current state, drawing no current when disabled.

Micrel MIC2870/1 Power Management ICs

Micrel MIC2870/1 is an ideal solution for high-resolution camera phone LED flashlight driver applications. The LED driver current is generated by an integrated inductive boost converter with 2MHz switching frequency which allows the use of very small inductors and output capacitors. MIC2870 supports two 750mA white-LEDs (WLEDs) or a single 1.5A WLED configuration. When two WLEDs are connected, their currents are matched automatically. The MIC2870 operates in either flash or torch modes that can be controlled through either an I2C interface or external pins. The brightness in the flash and torch mode can be adjusted via two external resistors individually. The high-speed I2C interface provides a simple control at a clock speed up to 3.4MHz to support most camera functions such as auto-focus, white balance, and image capture (flash mode). MIC2871 operates in either flash or torch modes that can be controlled through the single wire serial interface and/or external control pins. Default flash and torch brightness can be adjusted via an external resistor. A single wire serial interface allows the host processor to support typical camera functions such as auto-focus, white balance, and image capture (flash mode).

Micrel MIC2790/1/3 Power Management ICs

Micrel MIC2790/1/3 Power Management IC is ideal for monitoring core voltages that require rapid response in the event of a fault condition. The voltage supervisor IC features a manual reset input, enable input (MIC2793 only), capacitor-programmable reset timeout delay, and both an active-low and active-high reset output. The MIC2790/1/3 monitors system voltages that are in the range of 0.4V to 5.5V with a typical sense accuracy of 0.5% at +25°C and ±1.0% across -40°C to +125°C. The IC asserts a reset output when the sense voltage drops below the threshold or when the manual reset is pulled to a logic low. The active-low reset stays low for the duration of the reset timeout delay once the sense voltage returns to normal and the manual reset transitions to a logic high state. The reset timeout delay period is programmable from 1ms to 10s with an external capacitor. The Micrel MIC2790/1/3 operates from a low supply voltage of 1.5V to 5.5V, and is rated to operate over the temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.

Micrel MIC3287 PWM White LED Drivers

Micrel's MIC3287 PWM White LED Drivers are a 1.2MHz pulse-width modulated (PWM) step-up switching regulator that is optimized for constant current white LED driving applications. With a maximum output voltage of 24V and a switch current of over 350mA, the MIC3287 drives a string of up to four white LEDs in series, ensuring uniform brightness and eliminating several ballast resistors. The MIC3287 implements a constant frequency 1.2MHz PWM current-mode control scheme. The high frequency PWM operation saves board space by reducing external component sizes. The added benefit of the constant frequency PWM control scheme as opposed to variable frequency control schemes is much lower noise and input ripple injected back to the battery source. To optimize efficiency, the feedback voltage is set to only 250mV. The MIC3287 is also available with a maximum 24V over voltage protection.

Micrel MIC2287 PWM White LED Drivers

Micrel's MIC2287 PWM White LED Drivers are a 1.2MHz pulse width modulated (PWM), boost-switching regulator that is optimized for constant-current, white LED driver applications. With a maximum output voltage of 34V and a switch current of over 500mA, the MIC2287 easily drives a string of up to eight white LEDs in series, ensuring uniform brightness and eliminating several ballast resistors. The MIC2287 implements a constant frequency, 1.2MHz PWM control scheme. The high frequency PWM operation saves board space by reducing external component sizes. The added benefit of the constant frequency PWM scheme as opposed to variable frequency topologies is much lower noise and input ripple injected back to the battery source. To optimize efficiency, the feedback voltage is set to only 95mV. This reduces the power dissipation in the current set resistor and allows the lowest total output voltage, hence minimal current draw from the battery.

Micrel MIC4604 Half Bridge MOSFET Drivers

Micrel's MIC4604 Half Bridge MOSFET Drivers are 85V half bridge MOSFET driver that features fast 39ns propagation delay times and 20ns driver rise/fall times for a 1nF capacitive load. The low-side and high-side gate drivers are independently controlled. The MIC4604 has TTL input thresholds. Micrel MIC2405x Buck Regulator SuperSwitcher II™

Micrel MIC2405x Buck Regulator SuperSwitcher II™ offers a constant-frequency, synchronous buck regulator featuring a unique adaptive on-time control architecture. Micrel MIC2405x operates over an input supply range of 4.5V to 19V and provides a regulated output of up to 6A of output current. The output voltage is adjustable down to 0.8V with a guaranteed accuracy of ±1%, and the device operates at a switching frequency of 600kHz. Micrel MIC826 Voltage Supervisor

Micrel MIC826 delivers a low-current, ultra-small, voltage supervisor with manual reset input, watchdog timer, and active-high and active-low push-pull outputs. The reset outputs are asserted and held when the supply voltage falls below the factory-programmed threshold voltage, when the /MR pin is pulled low, or if the watchdog times out. Reset is asserted for the reset timeout delay after the supply voltage increases above the rising threshold voltage or when manual reset input is asserted high. The MIC826 features an integrated pull-up resistor on the /MR. Micrel MIC23159 also provides an auto discharge feature that switches in a 225Ω pull down circuit on its output to discharge the output capacitor when disabled. HyperLight Load provides very high efficiency at light loads and ultra-fast transient response which makes the MIC23158/9 perfectly suited for supplying processor core voltages. Micrel MIC23450 offers a high-efficiency, 3 MHz, triple 2A, synchronous buck regulator with HyperLight Load mode. HyperLight Load provides very-high efficiency at light loads and ultra-fast transient response which is perfectly suited for supplying processor core voltages. An additional benefit of this proprietary architecture is very low output ripple voltage throughout the entire load range with the use of small output capacitors. The 5mm x 5mm MLF package saves board space and requires only five external components for each channel. Micrel MIC2033 Power Switch

Micrel MIC2033 delivers a high-side MOSFET power distribution switch providing increased system reliability utilizing 5% current limit accuracy. Micrel MIC2033 has an operating input voltage range from 2.5V to 5.5V, is internally current limited and has thermal shutdown to protect the device and system. The MIC2033 is offered with either active-high or active-low logic level enable input controls, has an open drain fault status output flag with a built-in 32ms delay that asserts low during over current or thermal shutdown conditions. The MIC2033 is available in several different fixed current limit options: 0.5A, 0.8A, 1A, and 1.2A. Micrel KSZ9021 Gigabit Ethernet Transceivers

Micrel's KSZ9021 Gigabit Ethernet Transceivers are a completely integrated triple speed (10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T) Ethernet Physical Layer Transceiver for transmission and reception of data on standard CAT-5 unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable. The KSZ9021GN provides the Gigabit Media Independent Interface/Media Independent Interface (GMII/MII) for connection to GMII/MII MACs in Gigabit Ethernet Processors and Switches for data transfer at 1000Mbps or 10/100Mbps speed. The KSZ9021RN provides the Reduced Gigabit Media Independent Interface (RGMII) for direct connection to RGMII MACs in Gigabit Ethernet Processors and Switches for data transfer at 10/100/1000Mbps speed. The KSZ9021 reduces board cost and simplifies board layout by using on-chip termination resistors for the four differential pairs and by integrating a LDO controller to drive a low cost MOSFET to supply the 1.2V core. The KSZ9021 provides diagnostic features to facilitate system bring-up and debugging in production testing and in product deployment. Parametric NAND tree support enables fault detection between KSZ9021 I/Os and board. Micrel LinkMD® TDR-based cable diagnostics permit identification of faulty copper cabling. Remote and local loopback functions provide verification of analog and digital data paths.

Micrel MAQ5281/2 High Performance Linear Regulators

Micrel MAQ5281 and MAQ5282 High Performance Linear Regulators offer a very wide input operating voltage range of up to 120V DC and supply an output current of up to 25mA or 50mA, respectively. These Micrel devices are ideal for high input voltage applications, such as automotive, industrial, and telecom. MAQ5281/2 offer ±3% initial accuracy, extremely high power supply rejection ratio (>90dB for MAQ5281 and 80dB for MAQ5282), and an ultra-low quiescent current of 6μA. MAQ5281/2 are optimized for high-voltage line transients, making them ideal for harsh environment applications.

Micrel MIC5019 High-Side N-Channel MOSFET Driver

Micrel MIC5019 High-Side N-Channel MOSFET Driver is an ultra-small device with integrated charge pump that is designed to switch an N-Channel enhancement type MOSFET control signal in high-side or low–side applications. MIC5019 operates from a 2.7V to 9V supply and generates gate voltages of 9.2V from a 3V supply and 16V from a 9V supply. This Micrel device consumes a low 77µA of supply current and less than 1µA of supply current in shutdown mode. In high side configurations, the source voltage of the MOSFET approaches the supply voltage when switched on. The output of the MIC5019 drives the MOSFET gate voltage higher than the supply voltage to keep the MOSFET turned on.

Micrel MIC4414/15 Low-Side MOSFET Drivers

Micrel MIC4414/15 Low-Side MOSFET Drivers are designed to switch an N-channel enhancement type MOSFET in low-side switch applications. MIC4414 is a non-inverting driver and MIC4415 is an inverting driver. Both feature short delays and high peak current to produce precise edges and rapid rise and fall times. MIC4414/15 are powered from a 4.5V to 18V supply and can sink and source peak currents up to 1.5A, switching a 1000pF capacitor in 12ns. The on-state gate drive output voltage is approximately equal to the supply voltage (no internal regulators or clamps). High supply voltages, such as 10V, are appropriate for use with standard N-channel MOSFETs. Low supply voltages, such as 5V, are appropriate for use with many logic-level N-channel MOSFETs. In a low-side configuration, the driver can control a MOSFET that switches any voltage up to the rating of the MOSFET.

Micrel MIC26x03 Buck Regulators

Micrel MIC26x03 SuperSwitcher IIG™ Buck Regulators are constant-frequency, synchronous DC/DC buck regulators featuring adaptive on-time control architecture. MIC26603 / MIC26903 / MIC261203 buck regulators operate over a supply range of 4.5V to 28V. It has an internal linear regulator that provides a regulated 5V to power the internal control circuitry. These devices operate at a constant 600kHz switching frequency in continuous-conduction mode and can be used to provide up to 6A (MIC26603), 9A (MIC26903), or 12A (MIC261203) of output current. The output voltage is adjustable down to 0.8V. Micrel's HyperLight Load® architecture provides the same high-efficiency and ultra-fast transient response as the Hyper Speed Control™ architecture under medium to heavy loads, but also maintains high efficiency under light load conditions by transitioning to variable frequency, discontinuous mode operation. These devices offer a full suite of protection features to ensure protection of the IC during fault conditions.

Micrel MIC28510YJL Synchronous DC/DC Buck Regulator

Micrel MIC28510YJL 75V/4A Hyper Speed Control™ Synchronous DC/DC Buck Regulator is an adjustable frequency device featuring unique adaptive on–time control architecture. MIC28510 operates over an input supply range of 4.5V to 75V and provides a regulated output of up to 4A of output current. The output voltage is adjustable down to 0.8V with a guaranteed accuracy of ±1%. Micrel's Hyper Speed Control architecture allows for ultra–fast transient response while reducing the output capacitance and also makes (High VIN) / (Low VOUT) operation possible. This adaptive tON ripple control architecture combines the advantages of fixed–frequency operation and fast transient response in a single device. This Micrel device offers a full suite of protection features to ensure protection of the IC during fault conditions.

Micrel MIC943x0 Ripple Blocker™ ICs

Micrel MIC943x0 Ripple Blocker™ ICs are designed to provide more efficient noise suppression for today's highly sensitive data and image capturing systems. MIC94300 integrates a low-R DS(ON) current-limit switch and a low-pass filter that passes DC and blocks the AC component of the input voltage. MIC94310 is a high-performance, low dropout regulator that offers better PSRR performance from DC to 5MHz than discrete solutions. Both ICs feature an active-high enable pin for power sequencing. MIC94300 and the MIC94310 devices deliver up to 200mA and both ICs offer full current and thermal fault condition protection.
