Fairchild's High Speed Transistor Optocouplers consist of an AIGaAs LED optically coupled to a high speed photodetector transistor. A seperate connection for the bias of the photodiode improves the speed by several orders of magnitude over conventional phototransistor optocouplers by reducing the base-collector capacitance of the input transistor. The HCPL4503M has no internal connection to the phototransistor for improved noise immunity. An internal noise shield provides superior common mode rejection of up to 50,000V/µs.
Fairchild's FSB50xxx Advanced Motion SPM® 5 Series Modules provide a fully-featured, high-performance inverter output stage for AC Induction, BLDC and PMSM motors. These modules integrate optimized gate drive of the built-in MOSFETs (FRFET® or SuperFET® technology) to minimize EMI and losses, while also providing multiple on-module protection features including under-voltage lockouts and thermal monitoring. The built-in high-speed HVIC requires only a single supply voltage and translates the incoming logic-level gate inputs to the high-voltage, high-current drive signals required to properly drive the module's internal MOSFETs. Separate open-source MOSFET terminals are available for each phase to support the widest variety of control algorithms.
Fairchild's FAN25800 LDO voltage regulators offers a high PSRR (85dB at 100Hz) and low output noise (typically 14.1μVRMS over a 10Hz to 100kHz bandwidth). This LDO voltage regulator can provide up to 250mA of output current for 5.14V output and up to 500mA of output current for 3.3V output. The enable control pin can be used to shut down the device and disconnect the output load from the input. During shutdown, the supply current drops below 1μA. The FAN25800 is designed to be stable with space-saving ceramic capacitors as small as 0201 case size. The FAN25800 is available in a 4-bump, 0.35mm pitch, WLCSP package.
Fairchild's Automotive N-Channel PowerTrench® MOSFETs are designed for automotive engine control, power-train management, solenoid and motor drivers, integrated starters/alternators, and as a primary switch for 12V systems. These MOSFETs are RoHS Compliant and qualified to AEC Q101.

Fairchild's FSA8039A Audio Jack Detection IC is an audio jack switch for a normally open detect pin. The FSA8039A can work with 3-pole and 4-pole accessories. The FSA8039A features moisture sensing, which prevents false positive detection of accessories in the audio jack. The integrated MIC switch allows a processor to configure attached accessories. The architecture is designed to allow common third-party headphones to be used for listening to music from mobile handsets, personal media players, and portable peripheral devices.
Fairchild's FPF2498 Adjustable OVP Load Switch is an advanced load-management switch that targets applications requiring a highly integrated solution. It disconnects loads powered from the DC power rail (<12V) with stringent off-state current targets and high load capacitances (<100µF). The FPF2498 consists of a slew-rate controlled low-impedance MOSFET switch. FPF2498 has over-voltage protection and over-temperature protection. Typical applications include media tablets, storage & peripherals, mobile handsets, wireless LAN card & broadband access, and PMP/MP3 players.
Fairchild's FAN53601/11 is a 6MHz, step-down switching voltage regulator, available in 600mA or 1A options, that delivers a fixed output from an input voltage supply of 2.3V to 5.5V. Using a proprietary architecture with synchronous rectification, the FAN53601/11 is capable of delivering a peak efficiency of 92%, while maintaining efficiency over 80% at load currents as low as 1mA. The regulator operates at a nominal fixed frequency of 6MHz, which reduces the value of the external components to as low as 470 nH for the output inductor and 4.7µF for the output capacitor. In addition, the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) modulator can be synchronized to an external frequency source. At moderate and light loads, Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) is used to operate the device in Power-Save Mode with a typical quiescent current of 24µA. Even with such a low quiescent current, the part exhibits excellent transient response during large load swings. At higher loads, the system automatically switches to fixed-frequency control, operating at 6MHz. In Shutdown Mode, the supply current drops below 1µA, reducing power consumption. For applications that require minimum ripple or fixed frequency, PFM Mode can be disabled using the MODE pin.
Fairchild's FAN53555 Digitally Programmable TinyBuck® Regulators are a step-down switching voltage regulator that delivers a digitally programmable output from an input voltage supply of 2.5V to 5.5V. The output voltage is programmed through an I2C interface capable of operating up to 3.4MHz. Using a proprietary architecture with synchronous rectification, the FAN53555 is capable of delivering 5A continuous at over 80% efficiency, while maintaining over 80% efficiency at load currents as low as 10mA. Pulse currents as high as 6.5A can be supported by the 05 option. The regulator operates at a nominal fixed frequency of 2.4MHz, which reduces the value of the external components to 330nH for the output induction and as low as 20µF for the output capacitor. Additional output capacitance can be added to improve regulation during load transients without affecting stability. Inductance of up to 1.2µH may be used with additional output capacitance.
Fairchild's FAN501/FAN501A Offline DCM/CCM Flyback PWM Controllers that are an advanced PWM controller that simplifies isolated power supply design that requires CC regulation of the output. The output current is precisely estimated with only the information in the primary side of the transformer and controlled with an internal compensation circuit, removing the output current-sensing loss and eliminating external CC control circuitry. With an extremely low operating current (250µA), Burst Mode maximizes light-load efficiency, allowing conformance to worldwide Standby Mode efficiency guidelines.

Fairchild FDMD84100 Dual N-Channel PowerTrench MOSFET integrates two N-Channel devices connected internally in common-source configuration. This enables a very low package parasitics and an optimized thermal path to the common source pad on the bottom. The Fairchild FDMD84100 Dual N-Channel PowerTrench MOSFET provides a very small footprint (3.3 x 5 mm) for higher power density.
