FTDI VM800P Embedded Video Engine Plus Module is an Arduino-compatible development module for the FT800 Embedded Video Engine (EVE). This development module is used to develop and demonstrate the functionality of the FT800 Embedded Video Engine. FTDI VM800P is a stand-alone display system with a flash-based Atmel ATMEGA328P microcontroller on board, providing a fully integrated display system ready to go. VM800P supports many I/O daughter cards or shields for expanding external interfacing and control. These shields use 1 or 2 Micro-MaTch miniature connectors to interface to the VM800P main module. VM800P modules support three different LCD panel size options and are designed for industrial or commercial environments with precision fitted bezels in either black or pearl. Graphic, audio, and touch features of the FT800 chip can be accessed with the VM800P.
FTDI Raspberry Pi Interface and Debug Modules provide I/O breakouts for more control and I/O options with the Raspberry Pi board. The FTDI Debug cable incorporates the FT232RQ USB to serial UART Interface IC to provide a USB to TTL Serial interface for the Raspberry Pi board. Connecting the Debug cable to a PC allows the user to read detailed information from the Linux Kernel during a RPi startup, and the ability to login and access the kernel from the PC. With these operations, engineers now have an advanced solution to easily create and output state-of-the-art interactive display systems. Targeted at intelligent QVGA and WQVGA TFT display panels, EVE's object-oriented approach renders images in a line-by-line fashion with 1/16th of a pixel resolution, eliminating the expense of traditional frame buffer memory. The FT800 integrates with system MCUs via a low bandwidth serial interface, allowing for lower spec/cost MCUs to be used in the design. The controller's functionality sets new industry benchmarks, supporting 4-wire resistive touch sensing with built-in intelligent touch detection and an embedded audio processor that allows midi-like sounds, combined with pulse code modulation (PCM) for audio playback. The combination of display, audio, and touch on a single-chip solution enables engineers to produce GUIs that deliver compelling user experiences.

FTDI UM232H-B USB to Serial/Parallel Break-Out Module is a development module for FTDI's FT232H Hi-Speed to Serial/Parallel interface converter. This single interface channel IC can be configured to transfer data over the following interfaces: UART, 245 FIFO, FT1248, I²C, SPI, and GPIO. The UM232H-B hardware is a breakout board that converts Hi-Speed USB 2.0 to a serial/parallel interface and connects the signals to a 2.00mm pitch 18pin female receptacle. No USB connector is used--instead this modules plugs directly into the USB host connector and the pads of the PCB make electrical contact with the electrical contacts of the host USB connector. All signals on these modules operate at +3.3V voltage levels, however all I/Os are 5V tolerant.
FTDI's FT12x Enhanced USB Device Controller ICs operate at 12 Mbits/s and are designed to the USB 2.0 specification. These new controllers support direct memory access (DMA) operation, while providing system interfaces for 8-bit parallel bus and SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) Slave. The FT12x series is configurable as a standard device class, and as such there is no need to add USB drivers. It was designed specifically so that engineers can quickly understand the device functionality and architecture, as well as taking advantage of application software and standard class drivers currently available and installed within the market.
FTDI's FT311D and FT312D USB Android Host ICs are Full Speed USB hosts specifically targeted at providing access to peripheral hardware from an Android platform with a USB device port. The device will bridge the USB port to six user selectable interface types and has advanced features that include single chip USB to selectable interface, entire USB protocol handled on the chip, interface selectable via 3 mode select pins, basic UART interface with RXD, TXD, RTS, CTS pins, 4 PWM channels, I2C master interface, SPI slave or master interface option supporting modes 0, 1, 2 and 3 with MSB/LSB, and USB error indicator pin. FTDI Vinco Touch-Key Shield is a shield that mates with the FTDI Vinco development module to allow touch pad operation. The shield includes an STMPE821 device, which is an 8-channel GPIO capacitive touch-key sensor. The sensor communicates to the Vinculum-II (VNC2), on the Vinco module, via I2C protocol. The FTDI Vinco Touch-Key Shield also mates with the Vinco development platform to enable Open Accessory Mode in Android devices.

FTDI VNC2 Debug Module is designed to provide connectivity between the Vinculum-II IDE development software and the debug interface pin on the FTDI Vinculum-II (VNC2) USB host controller device. This module consists of a miniature board with a USB miniB connector, which provides USB connectivity to Vinculum-II IDE development tools running on a PC. The VNC2 debug module can be used to program and debug firmware running on the VNC2 device. The FTDI VNC2 Debug Module connects to the VNC2 device via a 6-way, 2mm pitch, keyed, female connector. The V2DIPx-x, VNC2 based development modules are equipped with a compatible male connector to host the VNC2 debug module. Designers intending to use the module with their own VNC2 based hardware are required to have a similar compatible male connector on their hardware.
FTDI C232HD USB 2.0 Hi-Speed to UART Cables incorporate FTDI's FT232H USB to UART interface IC device which handles all the USB signalling and protocols. These cables provide a fast, simple way to connect devices with 3.3V or 5.0V digital interfaces to USB. FTDI C232HD USB 2.0 Hi-Speed to UART Cables each contain a small internal electronic circuit board, incorporating the FT232H, which is encapsulated into the USB connector end of the cable. The FT232H is a single channel USB 2.0 Hi-Speed (480Mb/s) to UART IC. The digital interface of the cable is made up of ten individual wires which are terminated with single pole connectors which can be connected next to each other on a male header. The cable's digital interface logic is either 3.3V or 5.0V. The USB side of the cable is USB powered and is USB 2.0 Hi-Speed compatible. The cable is 1.8m long and supports a data transfer rate up to 12 Mbaud.
FTDI's DB9 USB to Digital Modules provide a simple and fast method of migrating existing DB9 based connector UART interfaces to USB 2.0. In some cases these DB9 USB to Digital Modules can reduce system costs by removing an RS232 level shifter from a design. FTDI USB to MPSSE Cables provide a fast, simple way to connect devices with 3.3V logic level interfaces to USB. The Digital Level Multi-Protocol Synchronous Serial Engine (MPSSE) cables are available with both 3.3V and 5V output. The connector end of the cables contain FTDI's FT232H USB interface chip. The cables are terminated by ten individual wires which can be interfaced to a 0.1" pitch male header. Supporting the USB 2.0 Hi-Speed (480Mb/s) standard, the USB to MPSSE Cables from FTDI can be used to communicate with various synchronous serial interfaces, such as JTAG, SPI or I2C. The FTDI USB Hi-Speed Serial/Hub Module is a USB interface expansion module which has a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed hub chip that supports up to three external downstream USB ports--2 by a dual USB connector and 1 by the DIL connector pins. The FTDI USB Hi-Speed Serial/Hub Module is designed for connecting FTDI V2DIPx modules to expand the number of interfaces, and can also be used as a hub device or an FT4232H evaluation module. Drivers are available which allow FTDI devices to work with the following operating systems:
For most of these operating systems two types of driver are available: Virtual COM Port (VCP) drivers and direct (D2XX) drivers. The VCP driver emulates a standard PC serial port such that the USB device may be communicated with as a standard RS232 device. The D2XX driver allows direct access to a USB device via a DLL interface.
To locate the drivers you want to install for a device, select which of the driver types you wish to use (VCP or D2XX) and then locate the appropriate operating systems. With the exception of Windows 98 and Windows ME, all devices are supported in each driver package.
The FTDI firmware section includes firmware development tools and resources for the FTDI Vinculum USB Host / Slave controller devices. The section is divided into tools for the VNC2, containing Vinculum-II Development Tool Suite with latest tool releases and application examples. The Vinculum section lists application examples and utilities for the VNC1L, while the precompiled f/ware section contains precompiled firmware images for both the VNC1L and VNC2.
