AVX Corporation offers Professional Tantalum Chip Capacitors, TRJ Series, with twice improved reliability and are robust against higher thermo-mechanical stresses during the assembly process. The DCL is reduced by 25% to 0.0075 CV for a CV range of 0.1-470µF / 6.3-50V. AVX GX0S Series Ultra Broadband Capacitor was developed
to address DC Blocking issues from ~16KHz (-3dB roll-off) to 40GHz and
was designed specifically for mounting on strip lines with widths less
than 20mils. In most applications, insertion loss will typically fall in
the range of 0.4dB. Insertion loss at frequencies higher than 40GHz
will be in part dependent on installation parameters. These devices
utilize AVX's patented precision thin film termination process and are
especially well suited for high volume solder assembly. Both Ni/Sn and
Ni/Au terminations are available to cover a wide range of attachment
processes. Au terminated units are wire bondable. Users, therefore, may
find these devices useful in bypass applications when wire bonding is a
necessary part of the manufacturing process. GX0S products (like all GX
Series parts) are RoHS compliant.
AVX PRQV Resonators for Automotive achieve stable
oscillation by using fundamental vibration in all frequencies. Features
include a small & low profile, built-in capacitor structure and they
are re-flow solderable. Common applications include: automotive, ABS, ECU, and air-bag systems.
AVX 9296 Series Single Poke Home Contact is a single vertical Wire-to-Board (WTB) contact that provides cost effective, yet robust discrete wire termination without the expense of an insulator and assembly costs. The newest addition to the vertical poke home connector product family, the 9296 Series Single Poke vertical WTB Contacts from AVX are characterized by top and bottom entry contacts that support both solid and stranded wires ranging from 24AWG down to 18AWG and current ratings as high as 12 amps. The set of four contacts provides both top and bottom entry for FR4 and metal core printed circuit boards.

AVX / Kyocera KT Series Crystal Oscillators are miniature surface mount type oscillators with an operating temperature range of -30º C to +85º C and optional temperature sensor output and optional disable function. KT Series Crystal Oscillators are reflow compatible and offer a drive range of 1.7 V to 3.6 V. -40°C to +105°C, the AVX 9608 Series LED Lighting Connector and 9609
Series LED Backlight Connectors are well-suited for automotive
applications. - 9608 Series LED Lighting Connectors are
available in three styles: joint (relay) for connecting modularized
boards; jumper (short-circuiting) to support a loop at the end of the
electrical circuit; and wire-to-board for connection to the power supply
unit.- 9609 Series LED Backlight Connectors are
single-pin, board-to-board style connectors that can be mounted on the
outside of lighting strips to provide a higher density of LEDs on the
AVX 0603 Accu-Guard® Low Current Thin-Film Fuses are based on thin-film technology which allows precise control of the component electrical and physical characteristics that is not possible with standard fuse technologies. This series encompasses the lowest current ratings in the 0603 package. AVX 0603 Accu-Guard® Low Current Thin-Film Fuses push leading edge thin-film technology with the lowest current ratings available in the smallest package. The 0603 size join the recently released 0402 to round out the most comprehensive offerings in low current fusing.

AVX has expanded the thin-film directional coupler product line
to include the High Directivity LGA Wi-Fi Couplers optimized for Wi-Fi
frequencies. The WiFi Bands Couplers are available in 0302, 0402, and
0603 standard sizes that have identical electrical performance.
Thin-Film Directional Couplers are based on thin-film multilayer
technology. The technology provides a miniature part with excellent high
frequency performance and rugged construction for reliable automatic
assembly. AVX Thin-Film Directional Couplers are offered in a variety of
frequency bands compatible with various types of high frequency
wireless systems. Thin-Film Directional Couplers from AVX come in two
miniature sizes (0603 and 0805), both offering Low lnsertion Loss, high
isolation, tape and reel, and are surface mountable. Used for balanced
amplifiers and signal distribution in wireless communications.
The AVX BestCap® Pulse Supercapacitors are ultra-low ESR, high power, pulse supercapacitors. Conventional supercapacitors are
limited with high ESR in the tens of Ohms range and high capacitance
loss when required to supply very short duration current pulses. The
low-profile BestCap Supercapacitors successfully address both of these limitations. With a capacitance range of 6.8mF to 1000mF, the AVX BestCap® Pulse Supercapacitors are available in various case sizes and offer voltage ratings from 3.6V to 16V and a temperature range from -20ºC to 70ºC.
The AVX High CV Ceramic Capacitors, Series MH, are surface mount MLCC molded parts with a multi-layer ceramic insert. MH Capacitors combine desirable ceramic attributes with the protection of a molded case. The AVX High CV Ceramic Capacitors, MH series, are ideal for commercial and high-reliability applications such as input/output for industrial and telecom applications, smoothing circuits, HID, and automotive high CV applications previously impossible due to case size limitations.
AVX has expanded the overall tantalum capacitor series to now offer 15 EIA case
sizes to better accommodate designs with limited height and space
requirements. This expansion has also resulted in extended temperature
range from -55ºC to 200ºC and voltage range from 2.5V to 50V. The larger
case sizes offer capacitance up to 1500µF and small case sizes offer
high CV in a minimum footprint and low profile packages as low as 0.6mm. AVX offers Professional Tantalum Chip Capacitors, TRJ Series, with twice improved reliability and robustness against higher thermo-mechanical stresses during the assembly process. The very reliable and fast-acting AVX TAW series Fused Tantalum Capacitor is a solid electrolytic, thin film fuse, molded, surface mount capacitor offering protection from possible damaging short circuit failure modes and high DC leakage currents. The AVX TAW Fused Tantalum Capacitor offers lower ESR limits than the competition.
The AVX TWA series of Wet Electrolytic Tantalum Capacitor features an axial lead and a higher level of capacitance/voltage (C/V) than previously available. AVX offers the device with a welded tantalum can and header assembly and the hermetically sealed TWA wet capacitor can withstand the harsh shock and vibration requirements of Mil-PRF-39006.

AVX DP series multilayer organic (MLO™) diplexers are available in 0603 and 0805 size packages with the lowest profile in the industry at 0.45mm for 0603 size parts and 0.6mm for 0805 size parts, making them ideal for height sensitive applications. Designed and manufactured around a patented multilayer organic (MLO™) technology which utilizes an organic material system that is expansion matched to most FR4 printed circuit boards and exhibits exceptional characteristics at RF and microwave frequencies, these components exhibit performance and reliability advantages unmatched by similar ceramic components manufactured using LTCC. DP series diplexers support multiple wireless standards including CDMA, WCDMA, WLAN, and Bluetooth.
AVX is proud to introduce the new ESD-Safe™ MLC Capacitor, an enhanced capacitor developed and designed specifically for general ESD (Electro Static Discharge) protection of I/O gates. The AEC-Q200 qualified ESD-Safe MLC Capacitor from AVX is used on nearly
every pin of an automotive module where ESD problems can sometimes
arise during the initial assembly/mating to the harness. These capacitors average the electrical potential of two objects due to ESD charging. The wide capacitance value range of ESD-Safe MLC Capacitors ensures that the correct capacitance is selected to minimize distortion of the circuit. A small footprint makes these capacitors ideal for high density electronic devices. These advanced MLCCs offer superior protection in ESD prone applications.
AVX's Air Core RF Inductors (AL and AS Series) have a unique construction that provides the best performance in RF applications. The Air Core Inductor Series from AVX, part of the wound air core inductor family, are ideal for RF circuits, broadband I/O filtering, frequency selection, or impedance matching. The AL Series offers high Q, high current, excellent SRF, and many inductance values ranging from 1.65nH to 538nH. The AS Series has a square cross-section construction that provides better performance and offers manufacturing advantages over toroidal coils. Features of the AS Series include 0806, 0807, and 0908 sizes, 20 inductance values ranging 5.5nH to 27.3nH, high Q, high current, and excellent SRF.
AVX KC Series Surface Mount Clock Oscillators feature a wide operating voltage range of 1.6 to 5.5V, miniature ceramic package, and are highly reliable with seam welding. The KC Series Surface Mount Clock Oscillators from AVX are available in several series that offer such features as low current consumption, CMOS output, automotive-grade, high reliability, and wide operating voltage ranges.
