AVX Corporation offers Professional Tantalum Chip Capacitors, TRJ Series, with twice improved reliability and are robust against higher thermo-mechanical stresses during the assembly process. The DCL is reduced by 25% to 0.0075 CV for a CV range of 0.1-470µF / 6.3-50V. AVX Corporation TRJ series of Professional Tantalum Chip Capacitors are ideal for automotive, medical, aerospace, military, and other high-end applications.
AVX CX Series Surface Mount Crystals are now available with a
higher frequency and load capacitance option and a two pin version. The
CX Series SMT Crystals from AVX are low profile crystal units, ranging
in size from 2.0 x 1.6 mm to 5.0 x 3.2 mm, with load capacitances
of 8pF to 12pF and frequencies from 9.843MHz - 40MHz. AVX CX Series
Surface Mount Crystals feature a ceramic package with lead free
terminations, are AEC-Q200 compliant, and are rated from -40C to +150C.
AVX CX Series Surface Mount Crystals are offered in both a 2-pin (CX3225GA)
and 4-pin (CX3225CA) configuration. Applications for the CX Series
Surface Mount Crystals include automotive control systems, and
automotive secure safety, industrial controls and safety, ECU, TPMS,
and high-speed automotive network (Flex Ray, etc).
AVX Multilayer Organic (MLO™) is a revolutionary technology based on a polymer organic high
density interconnect technology that utilizes very thin and low loss
dielectrics to achieve excellent RF performance at high frequency. MLO
allows for the realization of high Q factor and low-profile surface
mount components such as capacitors, inductors, diplexers, and filters
in various case sizes and form factors. MLO is an alternative to LTCC
for dense, high performance applications.
Kyocera/AVX's KC7050Y-xx Series SAW Clock Oscillators are surface mount (SMT) oscillators that have excellent jitter performance. The KC7050Y-xx Series SAW Clock Oscillators from Kyocera/AVX also offer output frequency range from 75 to 700MHz, operating temperature range from 0 to +70ºC, fundamental high frequency operation, and 7 x5mm height. This series is divided into two output types, LVDS (KC7050Y-L2, L3) and LV-PECL (KC7050Y-P2, P3).
AVX 70-9296 Series Single-Poke Home Wire-to-Board Contact features a
dual-beam box contact system that provides simple, reliable wire termination
and eliminates the need for wire soldering. The unique contact design offers several
key features within the stamping for SMT pickup, wire guidance, high
force retention, and easy wire removal. Designed for a surface mount
connection to the PCB, a keyring rib is inserted for strength and
alignment. The 70-9296 Series has maximum staged current rating of 20A
(12AWG) and operating temperature range of 40°C to +125°C. The AVX 70-9296 Series
Single Poke Home Contact is well-suited for industrial/ruggedized
wire-to-board applications due to its excellent mechanical stability and wire retention.

AVX DP series multilayer organic (MLO™) diplexers are available in 0603 and 0805 size packages with the lowest profile in the industry at 0.45mm for 0603 size parts and 0.6mm for 0805 size parts, making them ideal for height sensitive applications. Designed and manufactured around a patented multilayer organic (MLO™) technology which utilizes an organic material system that is expansion matched to most FR4 printed circuit boards and exhibits exceptional characteristics at RF and microwave frequencies, these components exhibit performance and reliability advantages unmatched by similar ceramic components manufactured using LTCC. DP series diplexers support multiple wireless standards including CDMA, WCDMA, WLAN, and Bluetooth.
AVX TWC Series COTS - Plus Conventional Wet Tantalum Capacitors are designed for use at 200°C. Components are capable of 300 hours of operation at extreme temperature with the applicable derated voltage. AVX TWC Series COTS - Plus Conventional Wet Tantalum Capacitors include a welded tantalum can and header assembly that provides a hermetic seal to withstand harsh environments.
AVX's GX Series Ultra Broad Band Capacitor was developed specifically to address DC Blocking issues from ~ 16KHz (-3dB roll-off) to 40GHz. The GX series is available in case sizes 0201, 0402, and 0603 and is designed to be completely orientation insensitive. The AVX GX series Ultra Broad Band Capacitor features ultra-broadband performance, ultra-low insertion loss, and excellent return loss, as well as X5R, X7R, and X7S characteristics. The GX03 Series, available in an industry-standard 0603 footprint, is rated at 50VDC from -55ºC to +125ºC
and specifically addresses DC Blocking issues in applications requiring
higher voltages than what can be
accommodated by other GX Broadband products. Ideal for semi-conductor data communications users, receiver optical sub-assemblies, transimpedance amplifier customers, and test equipment manufacturers.

AVX is proud to introduce the new ESD-Safe™ MLC Capacitor, an enhanced capacitor developed and designed specifically for general ESD (Electro Static Discharge) protection of I/O gates. The AEC-Q200 qualified ESD-Safe MLC Capacitor from AVX is used on nearly
every pin of an automotive module where ESD problems can sometimes
arise during the initial assembly/mating to the harness. These capacitors average the electrical potential of two objects due to ESD charging. The wide capacitance value range of ESD-Safe MLC Capacitors ensures that the correct capacitance is selected to minimize distortion of the circuit. A small footprint makes these capacitors ideal for high density electronic devices. These advanced MLCCs offer superior protection in ESD prone applications.
AVX's Air Core RF Inductors (AL and AS Series) have a unique construction that provides the best performance in RF applications. The Air Core Inductor Series from AVX, part of the wound air core inductor family, are ideal for RF circuits, broadband I/O filtering, frequency selection, or impedance matching. The AL Series offers high Q, high current, excellent SRF, and many inductance values ranging from 1.65nH to 538nH. The AS Series has a square cross-section construction that provides better performance and offers manufacturing advantages over toroidal coils. Features of the AS Series include 0806, 0807, and 0908 sizes, 20 inductance values ranging 5.5nH to 27.3nH, high Q, high current, and excellent SRF.
AVX's FB and FE Series Medium Power Film Capacitors use a non-impregnated metallized polypropylene dielectric specially treated to have a very high dielectric strength in operating conditions up to 100ºC. The RoHS-compliant FB and FE Series Medium Power Film Capacitors from AVX offer performance characteristics that make them a viable alternative to aluminum electrolytic technology due to much lower ESR and much higher surge voltage capability (dv/dt). These capacitors have been designed for printed circuit board mounting and have an operating temperature range from -40ºC to +100ºC and voltage range from 550V to 1200V. The FE Series offers capacitance range from 3.3µF to 75µF, and the FB Series has capacitance range from 0.68µF to 75µF.
