AVX Corporation's Wire-to-Wire Poke Home Junction Box Connector
series is a unique extension of the 9286 Series Thru-Wire Connector that
uses a higher force Beryllium copper spring contact system that allows
simple push button activation for easy wire insertion and removal. The
9286 Wire-to-Wire (WTW) Connector Junction Box series from AVX
Corporation does not connect wires in the traditional 1:1 configuration,
but rather, connects several wires all together electrically to create a
junction box scenario. Major features of this connector system include
simple strip and poke-in wire termination for solid or stranded wires, 8
AMP current rating, ability to accommodate any wire between 18AWG and
26 AWG, robust design for harsh environments with temperatures from
-40ºC to +125ºC, and miniature size (4.0mm pitch).
AVX offers new Solid State LED Lighting Connectors Series 9159 which are board-to-board and wire-to-board interconnects with 2 to 6 way plugs and sockets or a card edge style for daisy chaining multiple LED boards together in a series. The simple and cost effective one-piece card edge connectors on a 2.0mm pitch provide multiple connections to tin plated fingers at the end of each 1.60mm thick PCB. The two-piece plug and receptacle SMT connector system is on a 3.0mm pitch with a miniature 3.0mm height and 5.5mm overall mated length. The AVX Solid State LED Lighting Connectors Series 9159 help designers in their newest product applications. Now UL Approved! UL 1977 under certificate #E90723 and UL approved up to 3 Amps.
AVX Connectors offers the 9162 series SIM Connector. The AVX SIM Connector 9162 series includes three types: a slide-in low profile SIM, a locking-latch SIM, and a SIM/SD Micro Combination Connector.
The 9177 series IDC Connector from AVX offers the
flexibility to connect 1, 2, or 3 wires in a single row on the PCB
using IDC technology. The application tool inserts the wires into the
slots and cuts through the insulation to expose the inner cores,
providing a strong, secure, homogenous joint with the contact. AVX´s 9177 series IDC connector accepts stranded wire between 14 and 20 AWG with no preparation.
AVX 70-9296 Series Single-Poke Home Wire-to-Board Contact features a
dual-beam box contact system that provides simple, reliable wire termination
and eliminates the need for wire soldering. The unique contact design offers several
key features within the stamping for SMT pickup, wire guidance, high
force retention, and easy wire removal. Designed for a surface mount
connection to the PCB, a keyring rib is inserted for strength and
alignment. The 70-9296 Series has maximum staged current rating of 20A
(12AWG) and operating temperature range of 40°C to +125°C. The AVX 70-9296 Series
Single Poke Home Contact is well-suited for industrial/ruggedized
wire-to-board applications due to its excellent mechanical stability and wire retention.
